“I think I’ve always done the same thing, which is just try to tell whatever the story is of that moment in my life,” Stefani told Audacy’s Karen Carson while unpacking the making of Bouquet.

“I just wanted something that just was very pure, just music, you know, so, that’s kind of how it was born,” Gwen shared about her latest LP.

In addition to nurturing new music, Stefani also shared with Carson her love of gardening and the special connection she has with it. “I think that gardening is, there’s something so like spiritual about it and hopeful,” revealed Gwen. “You’re planting this thing and you don’t really have control over it, but you can nurture it, love it. It’s like having children.”

It’s just part of the new place that the “Purple Irises” singer has found for herself with husband, Blake Shelton, in Oklahoma. “I really just love Oklahoma so much. It’s just one of those things I didn’t know I needed, which is that just nature. And we have a lot of fun there. We’re building a lot of memories.”
