A Price is Right player made a surprising error on the show, leading to a scolding from Drew Carey as a result.

Drew Carey was forced to scold a contestant on The Price is Right after they made a humiliating error on a recent episode of the show.

The host, who some fans have feared isn’t safe in his role, is sometimes known for taking things to a new level as he addresses a rowdy audience during games on the show, or for how he sometimes makes fun of players who take things too far with their own strategies.

However, most of his time on the show is spent narrating as players play games and try to win amazing prizes like cash, cars and trips.

On the Wednesday, March 19 episode though, he was forced to once again take on a more disciplinary role after a player made a mistake.

It occurred as four players on contestants’ row, where they bid on smaller prizes to get up on stage, saw confusion between two of them.

The players were bidding on a set of cleaning supplies, which include an electric mop and vacuum.

As bids went in, a player named Jason guessed $876, while Brandon next to him said $1200.

Drew went on to reveal the items cost $1,045.

However, Brandon started to walk up to the stage as Jason first cheered than appeared confused by his actions.

Drew then stepped in, scolding Brandon and reminding him he actually had overbid on the items and lost.

“No! You went over! It’s Jason!” he shouted.

The error was then corrected, and Brandon headed back to his podium, while Jason headed to the stage.
