Ryan Seacrest has been known to take a tumble or two in his eight months as the host of Wheel of Fortune. But it is the latest promo for the show — in which he and co-host Vanna White are in Honolulu to celebrate Hawaiian Week — that features Seacrest wiping out multiple times.

The footage, which was posted to the official Wheel Instagram account on Tuesday, April 15, featured Seacrest, 50, and White, 68, attempting to soak in everything Hawaii has to offer, all while promoting the “tropical paradise” that is the Honolulu at the Hilton Hawaiian Waikiki Beach Resort. The longtime American Idol host, who began helming Wheel in September 2024, notably fell twice in the video — first, when he slid hard and tumbled off of a surfboard into the shallow water; and second, when he attempted to do a cartwheel in the waves and completely wiped out in the process.

“Brah, check out the swell,” Seacrest quipped to White at one point, carrying a shark float and an inflatable inner tube. “Vanna, we’re going in.”

The camera then cut to the co-hosts back on the Wheel of Fortune stage, where they were lying out on tropical beach towels, kicking up their bare feet.

“So, how was the swell?” White asked. Seacrest laughed. “It turns out that I’m not a great surfer,” he admitted.

“I’m shocked,” she joked.

Fans in the comments were loving the footage, making jokes about Seacrest’s perceived clumsiness — “Why does Ryan keep falling?” one person asked — and just how well he and White work together.

“Love your promos with Ryan Seacrest he’s so [darn] hilarious 😆,” one viewer wrote to White. “Just love his sense of humor. You never know what he’s gonna do next to make you laugh.”

Another commented on how well Seacrest has succeeded longtime Wheel host Pat Sajak, who announced his retirement in 2023.

“I love that Ryan is good with playing the goof,” they praised. “Some hard shoes to fill after Pat, but I think he’s doing great!🌺🌊🌴.”
