The Price Is Right is set to return for its 50th season but some fans are already less than impressed as they branded one of the games “impossible”.
Fans of The Price Is Right have expressed their dissatisfaction with one of the show’s games ahead of the new season, arguing that it is too challenging to win. The game show’s official Instagram page recently posted a video of a contestant named Erika O’Farrell winning a car in the Lucky Seven game.
She said about her time on the show: “One of the best days of my life! Such a great experience!”
Taking to the comments on the post @kristinamarie.nj said: “Great win!! This game is always hard.” @carita_1 agreed writing: “Tough game you don’t see many winning this one.”
mr.tran_khuong was more forthright commenting: “Lucky Seven or what I really like to call it UNLUCKY SEVEN needs to stop playing more often because it’s been so UNLUCKY for the contestants who have played it.”
Meanwhile, jennessalouisa acknowledged the difficulty of the game but complimented Erica, opining: “That’s the best I’ve ever seen anyone play lucky 7! Hard game way to go.”
The most recent season of the show aired its final episode on July 4, and reruns are currently being broadcast.
While the premiere date for the new series of the Drew Carey-hosted game show has not been confirmed, it is anticipated to be in the fall.
Typically, The Price Is Right has returned with new episodes during the last two weeks of September.
However, the 49th season premiered in November 2020 due to filming restrictions related to the pandemic.

The game involves a contestant being given seven $1 bills and having to predict the next digit for a car’s price, was too hard to succeed in and said it should be dropped.
The player must pay the difference between their guess and the actual digit in dollars – so a guess of five when the digit is seven would cost $2 of their $7 float. While they do not lose any money if they get a digit exactly right, if they lose the entire $7 the game ends.
If they have at least $1 remaining after the last digit is revealed at the end of the game, they may buy the car for $1 and receive any leftover money. The game has been a staple on the show since 1973.
