When you take the reins from an icon like Pat Sajak, there are bound to be some growing pains as longtime viewers adjust to the new Ryan Seacrest era on Wheel Of Fortune. Not surprisingly, many viewers have not adjusted well to the change.

Even though the Wheel Of Fortune brass have made it clear that Ryan Seacrest is their guy, a solid chunk of the gameshow viewership still has not gotten on board with Ryan as the new host. As much as Ryan has tried his best to be a good sport about the whole thing, there are clearly some people he simply cannot win over.

New Game Show Host Has Done His Best To Put His Stamp On Things

When you have someone like Pat Sajak, who hosted Wheel Of Fortune for decades, viewers got used to the particular way that Pat did things over the years. Because fans had years to get familiar with Pat and his style, this makes any slight deviation that Ryan makes to the game seem like a major insult to the game as a whole.

As much as Ryan Seacrest has rolled with the punches, and as much as he has done his best to put his own stamp on the game, a good portion of the Wheel Of Fortune fanbase simply cannot get behind this. While the ratings have been great since Ryan took the helm, he still has not won people over in the court of public opinion.

Wheel Of Fortune Fans Drag Ryan Seacrest Over Annoying Quirks

Wheel Of Fortune fans recently had a lot to say about Ryan Seacrest, as well as what many people see as his “annoying” and “lazy” tendencies as the new host. Based on recent comments from fans, they did not hold back, either.

One commenter recently said: “Ever since Ryan Seacrest took over for Pat Sajak, in recent episodes I’ve been watching, I’ve been discovering that Ryan has been forgetting to remind the player to dump the wild card after landing on bankrupt on tonight’s show (The player dumped the wild card before commercial just so you know that). Pat never reminded the player they lost the wild card in early appearances during season 24. I’m not sure if he’s been forgetting too much or he’s just being lazy to remind the player.”
A second commenter chimed in, adding: “I think the more annoying thing is when he doesn’t remind them to call a letter before they solve in the last round when time is running out. Lady today lost out on 1500 or so.”
A third person said: “I find Ryan to be very self promoting about his other gigs and his other sponsorship deals in the WOF show. I’m at least glad vanna is getting to say more, but you can’t convince me that they’re actually buddies even though he keeps commenting on it and calling her a nickname. She’s a pro and plays along. I just don’t believe that he actually loves the game itself.”
