ESPN is trying to shake up the NFL in a massive way with its sports coverage.

NFL Network and NFL RedZone could soon be under their control.

ESPN and the NFL have discussed a deal in which the Worldwide Leader would control NFL Network, RedZone, and the league’s fantasy platform.

Negotiations between ESPN and the NFL over the potential acquisition of NFL Media are gaining steam, and fans are not that happy about it.

“can’t just watch football anymore 😔,” one fan said with a sad face emoji.

“Nobody wants this at all,” a second account stated about the news.

“Guess we’ll be watching more commercials than touchdowns now,” a dejected fan stated.

“I give up, I love ball, but maybe I’ll find a new passion,” another fan said of the ESPN deal.

One final fan added: “This is terrible. Now we’ll hear nothing but why Josh Allen must sign with the Jets or Giants for the next 7 seasons.”

ESPN Might Have To Shell Out Billions To Acquire NFL Network and Redzone

Talks between the NFL and ESPN are reportedly back on as the league is looking to sell its assets of NFL Network, NFL Redzone, NFL.com, and its fantasy business, according to John Ourand of PUCK.

The deal, which would have a seismic impact on both the Worldwide Leader and the league, could be worth as much as $2 billion.

ESPN is under pressure to add more content, and this deal might be what they need to make it happen.

By taking ownership of NFL Network and Redzone, the Worldwide leader in sports would be able to offer more to prospective subscribers, including the eight games that have exclusively been screened on NFL Network under the current broadcasting arrangement.
