Christine Lampard looked radiant on Friday’s episode of Lorraine, in a striped knitted co-ord from the elevated high street retailer Cos

When it comes to her on-screen wardrobe, Loose Women’s Christine Lampard never misses. And her latest outfit is from one of the current ‘cool girl’ brands that’s taking over social media.
Stepping in to present Lorraine on Friday, the 45-year-old was dressed for the mild spring temperatures in a striped knitted co-ord from the elevated high street retailer, Cos. Best known for their luxury-looking styles at more accessible prices, not to mention their viral oversized crossbody, it’s safe to say it’s one brand fashion fans are keeping a close eye on.
Styled by Bronagh Webster, the Northern Irish beauty wore the brand’s striped knitted polo shirt and coordinating maxi skirt, both of which currently have 20 per cent off in the sale. The skirt now comes in at £68 , down from £85, while the polo is priced at £52, instead of £65.
Knitwear may seem like an unusual choice as we head into the warmer months, but as we all know, the Great British weather is never too generous, and the burnt orange hue of the two piece set will also transition beautifully into the autumn months. It also comes in navy for those who prefer a darker colour palette.
But knitted styles aren’t just for grey days, because crochet and light knits are set to be a big trend this summer. Plus, when you buy a co-ord , ‘girl math’ would suggest you actually get three outfits in one. For the summer months, we’re already picturing this skirt with a white vest and sandals, while the relaxed polo shirt would look dreamy with some denim shorts.
Or, you could wear the set together for a ‘maximalist’ style moment like Christine, who’s Instagram followers adored the look, commenting: “Totally gorgeous” and “always chic”. Though one potential problem we did notice is that the maxi length of the skirt may not be ideal for shorter shoppers, as it’s rather long on the presenter, who is 5’8”.
With its longer short sleeves that fall just above the elbows, this top appears to be in a style that Christine just can’t get enough of, after she was spotted wearing this similar Ribbed Crew Neck Knitted Top from Marks and Spencer earlier this month. The lightweight knit, which can be dressed up or down, comes in soft white, ecru, pink shell, navy, ice blue and onyx, as well as the orange as seen on the Loose Women anchor. And shoppers love it so much, they’ve ‘purchased all colours’.
But if it is Christine’s co-ord that’s caught your eye for your own wardrobe, you can buy it here on the Cos website.
