Jonathan Jacob Meijer gave the Loose Women an explosive interview this Friday as he discussed Netflix’s The Man with 1,000 Kids, which catapulted him into the spotlight.

Loose Women spiralled out of control as Jonathan Meijer continued to stand against the documentary that propelled him to TV fame.

Jonathan was the subject of the Netflix docuseries The Man with 1,000 Kids, which explores his story as he was revealed to have fathered a thousand children – although he insists he actually fathered 550 – as a sperm donor in his 20s.

Donation clinics have accused Jonathan of lying about the number of times he donated in the past and the Dutch Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology even banned him from donating sperm in the Netherlands seven years ago. But this didn’t stop him from donating abroad.

Netflix’s documentary included featured families who admitted they’d felt betrayed by Jonathan but he insists he was misrepresented by the series.

The explosive story was discussed on the set of Loose Women this Friday, July 26, 2024, as Jonathan spoke out via video and his abrasive behaviour with Kaye Adams, Katie Piper, Jane Moore and Linda Robson triggered an online storm.

Kaye tried to question her guest as she highlighted a “real level of concern around (his) activities”, due to the fact a Dutch court deemed his ban should be worldwide.

However, Jonathan defended his actions, saying sperm donation was part of the American “culture.” This prompted Katie Piper to correct him: “but you’re not in the United States, you’re in the Netherlands.

Jonathan then spoke over the panel, leaving Linda Robson to sigh in exasperation. Meanwhile, numerous viewers flocked to social media, divided.

“The @loosewomen interview with the Dutch sperm donor was terrible”, one wrote, “They almost condemned this man for helping ‘550’ women have children. And said he’s a ‘dad without the responsibilities’? What a joke. If nobody wanted to be a donor. Men would be the bad guys.”

Another shared sympathy for Jonathan: “Let’s get 4 women to attack a man for providing a service women agreed to use”, just as a third echoed: “Am I missing something? Surely he only donated to women who had requested donation?”

Elsewhere, Jonathan’s attitude irked viewers: “This Jonathan is a right weapon. Won’t let know one speak”, a TV fan penned. Another clearly wasn’t pleased with the exchange: £Nah loose women, this is the worst interview I’ve ever seen. All four women don’t know how to interview. How can you ask a sperm donor why he doesn’t take care of his kids.”

“This man with 1000 kids is an arrogant g**”, a fan fumed. “Loose women are loosing a 4v1. Absolutely waffling , and hating on a guy that’s coming with facts and is in the right. What a man!”, another added.

One viewer then shared their thoughts in a sarcastic quip: “What is wrong with these women, he is obviously a lovely man, such great personality & screen presence, so humble.”

Another jumped in: “He’s too much of a t*** for these loose women to handle”, while another concluded: “The women agreed to use his services though……why havn’t they commented on that? It’s all his fault isn’t it?”This comes after My Mum, Your Dad stars Roger and Janey candidly opened up about their relationship, one year after appearing in the ITV programme, describing their biggest challenge.
