Electrifying.

Last year, George Strait and Chris Stapleton honored the late Tom Petty with a cover of his 1994 hit, “You Wreck Me,” live at Arrowhead Stadium.

The track was written by Petty, as well as his lead guitarist, Mike Campbell, and was released as the second single off his album, “Wildflowers.” It peaked at #2 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart in ’95.Home of the Kansas City Chiefs, this marked the first time King George had played at Arrowhead Stadium in 21 years since his festival run that also featured Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley and Sara Evans.

This specific show also featured Little Big Town (whose been apart of the legendary duo’s stadium tour for just about all of its run) and Parker McCollum, the 31 year-old Texas native who now has three #1’s at country radio.

If seeing George Strait or Chris Stapleton in concert has been on your bucket list, I have good news for you. The two recently extended their stadium tour into 2024 with an additional nine dates. You can view those here.
