Actors Max Parker and Kris Mochrie are set for the “soap wedding of the year” as they exchange vows today. The duo, who played siblings on ITV soap Emmerdale are ready to say ‘I do’ in a lavish wedding in Sussex, which is being likened to a ‘royal wedding’.
The pair first met in 2019 when taking up their roles as Luke and Lee Posner are now preparing to marry at the exclusive Wilderness Reserve, where ceremonies can start at a pricy £65,000. They have been engaged since 2022 after Max popped the question while on holiday. He used a special locket of his grandmother’s for the momentous occasion.
Now, they are welcoming their nearest and dearest to their special event – which got underway last night. They have been taking to Instagram to showcase the celebration. It comes as the latest Emmerdale spoilers reveal villain Ray’s real target.

The multi-day event sees the couple hunker down in the lavish Chapel Barn venue on the estate. According to their Instagram Stories, wedding favours have included ‘KM’ branded bars of Tony’s Chocolate Chocolonely bars, while guests are treated to £82-a-bottle Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose.
A brass band accompanied guests to their lakeside dinner, while the couple ended last night’s proceedings by jumping in a rowing boat to release Chinese lanterns. Max shared a clip on his Stories of his guests taking a walk to the luxurious spot.
Kris, meanwhile, re-shared a number of posts their guests had shared to their own pages, including the happy couple’s welcome sign. Another user joked: “Let the royal wedding commence.”

A week earlier, Max had confirmed their special date, uploaded a photo of them both dressed up in suits. He wrote: “7 days and we’re married, ” and tagged his fiancé Kris, whose tie he was adjusting in the photo, in the post that was shared with his followers on the platform this week.
An insider told The Sun the lavish celebrations would have likely set the couple back in the region of £100,000.
It’s thought the pair are to exchange vows in for of around 100 guests, including Code of Silence star Kieron Moore and Love Island’s Callum Jones. A source said the publication: “There really has been no expense spared for Max and Kris.

“Every detail has been taken care of with only the most stylish and chic things for their big day. It’s something for their friends and family to remember forever.
“There’s nothing garish, it’s all very classy and about them as a couple celebrating with those closest to them.”
The wedding day comes almost three years after Max quit his role on the soap. He later found further on-screen success on shows such as Vampire Academy and Doctor Who.
Kris meanwhile, after rising to fame on scouse soap Brookside, has also appeared on shows such as Vera and The Long Shadow.
