TV star Coleen Nolan was forced to issue an apology to Loose Women viewers after she’d made a red faced faux pas after taking to the hosting chair on the ITV panel

Coleen Nolan had no other choice but to issue her apologies to fans in the opening minutes of Loose Women.

The 59-year-old, had unusually taken up the perch of host on the daytime favourite. While the former pop-star is a regular on the programme, it is rare for the Irish singer to front the show.

It seemed that Coleen had been out of her comfort zone very early on, with the TV star glancing into the wrong camera for the best part of a minute – this before no doubt receiving a telling off in her earpiece.

Having been alerted of her mistake, she swiftly issued her sorry’s before getting on with the daily download of current affairs that the show had to offer.

Speaking from the hosting seat, Coleen praised co-star Denise Welch, adding: “That’s a nice entrance there Denise. Nice pout.

She went on to say, into the wrong camera: “Hello and welcome to Wednesday’s show, coming up, it’s great for weight loss, keeps you fit and may even keep you sane…”

The Nolan’s singer swiftly corrected: “Sorry wrong camera there, I’m used to that one [points off to the left] so excuse me. Sorry, sorry,” as she carried on reading from the autocue.

Earlier this week, Coleen was full of cheer and delight after finally being reunited with her Loose Women co-star Ruth Langsford. The pair have not seen each other for a few weeks after the former This Morning host took a break from work duties.

Ruth had needed to take some time out after the news broke that she and her long-term GB News husband were parting ways after 27-years together and 14-years of marriage.

There had been rumours that Ruth was going to address matters when she returned to her post on Monday (July 22) but much to fans dismay, the professional TV star failed to even murmur his name.
