Joe Swash opened up on his wife Stacey Solomon’s bad habits during an appearance on Loose Women spin-off Loose Men where he discussed how messy he is at home

Joe Swash revealed Stacey Solomon has “one bad habit” involving her eyelashes.

The former EastEnders star and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! winner made the admission during an appearance on Loose Women spin-off Loose Men with Vernon Kay, Anton Du Beke and Jordan Banjo. The panel were discussing whether men are messier than women.

He said: “I’m married to Stacey Solomon so I’m definitely the dirty one in the relationship, but I’ve got better. I’ve been working on it and I tidy up after myself, but if you met me 15 years ago I’d probably have bits of food stuck to me still so Stacey has definitely whipped me into shape.”

Joe later added that he is still a “messy person at heart” and has moved his messiness from the house into his car because he’s “too scared for Stacey to see it”.

Shining a light on Stacey’s bad habits, he said: “Stacey’s got one bad habit, which I don’t think is that bad, I find it quite funny – she likes to stick her eyelashes everywhere. You could be making a cup of tea, look at the wall and think, ‘Oh there’s a spider there!’ No, it’s Stacey’s eyelash.

“The worst one is I’ll come into work…and people will be picking eyelashes off my shoulder. That’s Stacey’s only flaw but apart from that she’s perfect.” Earlier on the show, Joe admitted he feels lucky to have had the flexibility to be at home and look after Stacey when she’s been pregnant, and when they’ve welcomed a new arrival into the family.

He said: “Stacey and I are really lucky with the job that we get to do, I can choose my hours and pick and choose when I want to work. When we had our children I’ve always stayed at home as long as I possibly can because Stacy’s been through nine months of growing a baby, having a baby so it’s her job to look after the baby and it’s my job to look after Stacy. And it’s also my job to look after the other five kids downstairs so they don’t feel left out.

Joe and Stacey share three children together – 15-month-old Belle, Rose, two, and Rex, four. Joe is also father to son Harry, 16, from a previous relationship and is stepfather to Stacey’s sons from former relationships, Leighton, 12, and Zachary, 16.

Loose Women fans were thrilled to see the return of Loose Men and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to praise the presenters. One wrote: “Loved today’s show. Loosemen should be a weekly segment, it was great getting a male perspective on topics, especially the serious issues but equally it had us in stitches! Well done Boyz! #loosemen #loosementostay!”
