Katie Price has spoken out on the alleged rift between herself and her daughter Princess Andre, who she shares with her ex-husband Peter Andre, as she lays bare her feelings
Mum Katie Price has broken her silence on rumours of a rift between herself and her daughter Princess Andre.
The glamour model and her daughter Princess, 18, were rumoured to have become estranged after Katie, 47, banned from appearing in Princess’ reality show, The Princess Diaries, which is set to air this Sunday. In an explosive rant, Katie has now revealed she’s been in tears over the fallout and has been left “very, very upset” as she hit out at her daughter, her ex Peter Andre and his second wife Emily.
Speaking out on the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show – which is titled The Truth Behind Princess Diaries – Katie hits out at Princess’ management for not “allowing” her to support and guide her daughter as she finds her feet in the world of showbiz.
Katie admits she even offered to take part in Princess’ show ‘for free’ but her kind offer was flatly turned down. It comes after Katie worried fans with her appearance in a family photo after explaining weight loss.
Speaking in the podcast, Katie says she is “very, very upset” that Princess’ career is being managed by her ex-husband Peter Andre’s management and says she’s being left out. The mum says she ‘won’t be watching’ Princess’ TV debut or ‘promoting’ the show, but ‘supports Princess in everything she does’.
In the episode, Katie explains how her ex-management company, The CAN Group, are managing Princess’ career, despite her protests. Katie was managed by The CAN Group when she was in a relationship with Peter, but ties were severed between the former Page 3 model and the management when she and Peter split in 2009. In the episode of her podcast, she explains: “I’ve always said, over my dead body would I ever want her to manage my kids because she doesn’t like me and Pete and me don’t talk. I am very, very, very upset that Princess has signed with them when she was 16. I wasn’t asked to look at any contracts so I don’t know what Princess has signed because it’s all to do with that side.”

Mum-of-five Katie, who shares Junior and Princess with her ex-husband Peter, says she feels “very disrespected” as a mum by the move. She added: “But now she’s managing Princess and Junior, out of my control, I want the best for Junior and Princess, always, and I will never get in the way of it. But what hurts my feelings – and it does upset me – is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you know, you go to their football matches or their gymnastics, you’re involved in everything they do.
“And knowing that what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path – trying to do the same as what I’ve done – which I absolutely love and adore of Princess but I had not been allowed to go on any photoshoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. Why? Because I’m not allowed and I’m not welcome.”
Katie continued to explain she had spoken to Princess about her hurt feelings, but alleges her management won’t allow Princess to take on career ventures because “they think I’m trash”. She adds: “Everyone knows she’s my daughter so what difference does it make?”
In the lengthy, candid admission about her feelings surrounding her daughter’s career, Katie adds that she finds it an “insult” that she hasn’t been allowed to be there to help guide the 18-year-old.

Elsewhere in the podcast chat, Katie addressed not being “allowed” to go to her daughter’s 18th birthday celebrations – as the star jetted off to Ibiza while her daughter celebrated the milestone with her dad Peter. Katie now claims she jetted off to the party island as she didn’t want it “rubbed in her face” that she wasn’t allowed to attend her daughter’s celebration. She added: “The reason is because Pete doesn’t want to be in the same room as me because I’m his ex. Well, we need to have some home truths here; when the kids get older and they get married is he still going to have the same attitude that only one parent can be there, because I disagree.”
While in Ibiza, Katie reveals she had an encounter with a producer from Princess’ reality show, in which the model ‘burst into tears’. She recalled: “When I was in Ibiza, Princess was there in Ibiza and I wasn’t allowed to meet up with her. But, funny enough I walked into a bar and there was a group of people and it was the producer of her show and they came up to me and said ‘we’re producing the show’ I burst out crying – and this producer will know it. And said, ‘I’m so upset, it’s my daughter I wanna be involved… but that side stops…’ I was in tears and I never cry.” Katie added she ‘could see’ the producer was ‘in a situation’ over the issue.
Despite the drama, Katie insists she remains on good terms with Princess. She says: “Me and Princess have never, ever, ever had an argument to this day – or a disagreement. We get on like best friends, mother and daughter. Princess lives with me and she stays at her dad’s. She’s been staying at her dad’s the past two months because she’s been filming her show. Our personal life together is amazing.”
While Katie insisted there is no bad blood between herself and her daughter, she slammed being snubbed from the show but ‘being used for headlines’ to promote it.
After making it clear there is no rift between herself and her daughter, she took a moment to address the management company directly. In a message to them, which she shared because Katie ‘knows they listen’ to her podcast, she said: “Any parent out there, how would you feel as a parent that you’re so close to your child but then you’ve got other people, taking them off you, not letting you turn up and support your child they’re just taking them off you. They don’t acknowledge you, they don’t tell you anything, they don’t involve you in anything – how hurtful that is as a mother? It’s so upsetting.”
Meanwhile, she didn’t hold back while slamming Peter, 52, and his new wife Emily Andre, at the end of the podcast. Katie said: “Let’s see how it’s twisted and turned again because, whatever happens it’s always gonna be my fault. I’m always gonna be the baddie. It’s always gonna be my fault but just remember, we’ve got proof of everything.”
In a stern final message before the end of her podcast, Katie says: “I’m always gonna look the bad cop everyone but tides are changing, because I’m not having it anymore and I have a voice.”
