
After finding success in his home country of Australia, Keith Urban broke into the U.S. country charts in 1999 with his eponymous album. A quarter of a century later, the New Zealand-born artist has racked up 15 ACM Awards, 13 CMAs, and four Grammys. Still going strong at 57, Urban dropped his 12th studio album, High, in September 2024. On Tuesday (Dec. 31), the “Messed Up As Me” singer helped country music fans everywhere bid farewell to 2024 and welcome 2025.
The Stars Align at ‘New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash’
Keith Urban shared hosting duties with Rachel Smith, of Entertainment Tonight, on New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. But in addition to his hosting responsibilities, the Golden Globe nominee headlined the annual event alongside Jelly Roll and Kane Brown.
Taking the stage at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, Urban kicked off the festivities with a flawless performance of his song “Straight Line.” Fans rushed to social media to applaud Urban for both his performance—and his looks. “Damn Keith Urban does not age!” one fan wrote. “Watching Nashville Big Bash New Year’s Eve. Go Keith Urban,” another viewer added.
The “Blue Ain’t Your Color” singer is accompanied by some pretty dazzling company on the last night of 2024. Jelly Roll and Kane Brown join Urban as headliners, and rising stars Shaboozey and Brittney Spencer are also performing. Other acts included Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Post Malone, Parker McCollum and Tyler Hubbard.
It was another banner year for New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, with roughly 200,000 people estimated to attend.
Alana Springsteen Is Joining Keith Urban on Tour
Alana Springsteen, the “taylor did” singer will team up with the country music legend next year on his his “HIGH AND ALIVE WORLD TOUR.” The tour, Urban’s first in three years, kicks off May 22 in Alabama.
The “Days Go By” hitmaker has boldly promised to “make this tour the best night of your life!”
“Playing live is what I live to do,” Urban said. “Looking out from a stage and seeing people singing, forgetting about all the stress in their lives, cutting loose, and feeling ALIVE — that’s what it’s about for me. Lots of hits, new songs, things we won’t even think about until we’re onstage—and loads of guitar.”
