Kerry Katona has branded Brooklyn Beckham “despicable” amid his and Nicola Peltz’s alleged feud with his family

Kerry Katona has hit out at Brooklyn Beckham amid his alleged family feud with parents Victoria and David, taking to her weekly column to brand him “despicable”.

Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz are thought to have been embroiled in a feud with Brooklyn’s family over recent months, with the budding chef shunning his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year and reportedly cutting his family out of his vow renewal ceremony with Nicola this month.

“I think it’s absolutely despicable that Brooklyn Beckham renewed his wedding vows with Nicola Peltz without his parents there. I don’t agree with it whatsoever. Posh and Becks have given him everything and for him to be cutting them out, which seems to be what is happening, is awful,” said Kerry on the situation, which comes as David Beckham spoke ‘as a father’ in ‘family’ announcement after latest Brooklyn snub.

Kerry continued, “They shouldn’t have done something as significant as renewing their vows until any conflict was resolved. They’ve only been married for three years, so it was hardly essential. The situation is so dreadfully sad.”

A mum of five herself, Kerry has a close relationship with her brood, similarly to Victoria and David’s close bond with their other children; Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven.

Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their vows this month in a New York ceremony. The service saw actress Nicola, 30, wear a remodelled version of her mum Claudia’s wedding dress, with proceedings presided over by her dad.

News of the speech comes as friends of the Beckhams are already “terribly worried” that Brooklyn is acting “desperately out of character.” The Lola actress has been accused of isolating her husband from not only his parents, but his extended family and friends too.

The whole Beckham clan – Cruz, Romeo, sister Harper, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins – were left out of the celebration in the US. There is also disappointment in some quarters about the “gratuitous” nature of the event with the couple posting dozens of pictures of the big day.

The Mirror told at the weekend how Brooklyn was said to be heartbroken his wife is being blamed for his family’s absence from their vow renewals.

A source said: “It’s so rooted in misogyny. Everyone seems to forget Brooklyn is an adult man, fully capable of speaking out. Nicola would have respected all that he chose. It breaks his heart to see her painted as this vixen and viper.”
