Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor is gearing up for her daughter Phoebe’s wedding as she confirmed the A-lister’s engagement.

The Bridgerton star, who reached worldwide fame with her portrayal of series favourite Daphne, sparked engagement rumours earlier this month when she walked the red carpet at the Met Gala on her partner Cameron Fuller’s arm… with a huge diamond ring.

Phoebe and Cameron already hinted at their engagement on Monday, May 13, with a loved-up snap shared to social media and Sally has shared the happy news again while chatting to Charlene White as she joined the Loose Women panel on Monday, May 20.

The Sally Metcalfe actress, who also left the panel in stitches after a quip about Liz Truss, shared that she was “thrilled” about her daughter’s engagement as she made it clear she was a fan of her future son-in-law.

“My daughter just got engaged”, she told Charlene, Linda Robson and Brenda Edwards. “He’s gorgeous, he’s such a lovely man. I’m so, so happy. I’m thrilled, it’s actually made my year.”

But while she’s enthused by the idea of her daughter walking down the aisle, Sally insisted she wouldn’t be getting in the way of the couple’s wedding plans. And she’s already keen on becoming a grandmother.

“To be honest, I’ll be keeping well out of it”, she said, in reference to Phoebe’s upcoming nuptials. “I can’t wait for my grandchildren, let’s not jump ahead.” Phoebe has been romantically involved with multiple celebs over her years in the spotlight.

In 2014, during her days on the BBC drama The Village in 2014, Phoebe was linked to recruitment executive Simon Merrill before moving on with British actor Sean Teale. Following their short-lived relationship, the actress dated Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson in 2021 and the relationship earned intense scrutiny from the public.

Rumours swirled around the couple when they were photographed together on multiple occasions for months. In April, 2021, Pete then hinted at the relationship during a Zoom call with a group of college students, when he was asked who his celebrity crush was: “I’m with my celebrity crush”, he’d said at the time.

Phoebe and Pete then made their first public appearance at Wimbledon that July but split up a month later with one source claiming: “They had fun, but it wasn’t sustainable being so far apart. It was great while it lasted, but they both agreed it was best to move on.”

In April 2023, Phoebe was then caught hand in hand with Cameron Fuller as the pair were walking through the streets of London looking loved-up. They seemed to confirm their romance while attending Wimbledon.

Cameron is the son of producer Brad Fuller, known for his work on The Purge franchise, A Quiet Place and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Fuller Jr. studied performing and received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Southern California in 2017. Much like Phoebe, Cameron has a series of acting credits to his name as he appeared on TV shows in the likes of The Last Ship, The Goldbergs and Into The Dark.
