YouTuber GK Barry, better known by her real name Grace Keeling, is reportedly in “advanced” talks to star in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after turning down a chance to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.
The online sensation and fresh ‘ Loose Women ‘ guest could be heading Down Under for the gritty reality show to captivate a younger crowd with her wit and lively spirit.
An insider dished to The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “GK is hugely popular with the younger generation and is sharp and quick witted which would translate well to chats around the campfire with other celebs.”
They went on to reveal: “Producers think she has great energy and is highly entertaining. She has millions of social media followers, which is a top focus of ITV at the moment.” Speaking to the Mirror, an insider added: “She’s a big personality… she’d be a great addition to I’m A Celeb.”
Although having flirted with the idea of joining Strictly Come Dancing, the bubbly podcaster ruled it out in search of a more fitting challenge on ITV. The source also spilled: “Grace is savvy and knows this is a brilliant opportunity to become more of a household name.” Adding more flavour to the story, they shared, “She did have several meetings with Strictly, but ultimately decided it wasn’t the best fit and is keen to pursue her telly career with ITV.”
Last year, GK herself hinted at wanting to dive into the I’m A Celebrity…’action, albeit with the fun addition of an eligible bachelor joining the crew. She joked: “I want them to put me in there when there’s a muscly man that can hold me in a hammock and until then, I’m not going in. I need a single man, a single strong muscly man.”

When approached for comment, a spokesperson for the ITV show remained tight-lipped. They stated: “Any names suggested for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! ‘ are just speculation.”
GK made her Loose Women debut last week, which could possibly be the start of a long career with ITV. Speaking on behalf of Betfred, PR expert Kaley Cornelius said of the YouTube star’s debut: “Grace’s appearance on Loose Women is likely just the beginning of the opportunities that will come her way. Her ability to captivate audiences, combined with her quick wit, makes her exactly the kind of talent producers crave and if the demand for her continues, she will be on track to reach seven-figure earnings within the next year.
2The future looks bright for Grace, who is currently in an exciting position to take her career in any direction she chooses. While her own TV show may still be a few years away, her next move could very well be securing a primary host position on prime-time television. As Strictly Come Dancing looks to attract new demographics and with rumours swirling about Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman potentially stepping down after this season, Grace will likely be at the top of producers’ lists as a replacement, propelling her career to new heights.”
