Loose Women’s Katie Piper opens up on what it is really like being a Loose Women panellist. She admitted that while there have been a few occasions where they see each other outside of work, it is ‘not easy’ seeing them as many of the familiar faces live ‘up north’.
In an exclusive chat with OK!, Katie reveals that the show is a “good opportunity to work with people from all age ranges and walks of life” and that there have been a “few fun nights out”.
Speaking about her time on the popular ITV daytime show, Katie, the survivor of an acid attack carried out by an ex-boyfriend and his accomplice in 2008, said: “There’s such a rich, broad roster of people, it’s not just TV presenters but athletes, actresses, political women, news readers. There are all kinds of women.”It comes after photos show Holly Willoughby letting her hair down in white swimsuit on sun soaked holiday.

She added: “It’s such a good opportunity to work with people from all age ranges and walks of life. Some live up north – actually quite a few of them do, so it’s not easy. But there have been a few very fun nights out.”
“There have been Christmas dos, there’s been the NTAs, there have been Bafta nights – we’ve certainly all got dressed up quite a few times together and been in taxis with little cans of gin and tonics.”
Katie, who is a mum to daughters Belle, 11, and Penelope, seven, and married to Richard Sutton for nearly a decade, said she was really ‘proud’ when she was asked to join the show and explains that she can be her authentic self.

She explained: “I was really happy and proud to be asked to join the panel because what I like about the show is you are not scripted or produced to be a certain character or person – you genuinely are allowed to be your authentic self. I think it’s a good platform to express your views and things you’re passionate about. I’ve always watched it as a viewer too, so it’s amazing.”

Katie also opened up on her work/life balance and said she tries ‘not to rush through life’ with her children as ‘time goes so fast’. She does this by putting her phone on flight mode in the evenings so there are no distractions and having dinner together.
The TV presenter said: “I love eating dinner with them – we can chat when we eat. But at home we eat around 4.30pm, so when I’m away for work and people want to go have dinner at 8pm, I’m like, “Guys, I’m going to faint because I normally have dinner at 4.30pm. I’m ready for bed now!”
