The Loose Women panellist stepped out in a belted denim skirt from the high street that is the perfect blend of ‘smart’ and ‘casual’

Loose Women’s Christine Lampard never fails to impress us with her outfits, and one of her latest high street picks is no exception. On the ITV talk show, the 45-year-old stepped out in a dreamy high street skirt – and shoppers are all saying the exact same thing about it.

The mum-of-two wore the Denim Belted Midi Circle Skirt from Marks and Spencer, which comes in under £40. Made in a blend of cotton and linen, it’s a lightweight and cooling choice for the summer months.

Crafted in a circle shape for a full, swishy effect, the £39.50 skirt features a bow belt at the waist and a slit at the front. Plus, it has roomy pockets for added practicality.

The skirt, coming in a timeless mid-wash denim shade, has earned a 4.6 star rating from shoppers, many of which have praised its versatility, with a number of customers commenting on its ‘smart casual’ appearance which makes it suitable for a range of occasions.

One said: “I love the skirt as it’s smart, comfortable, looks great on my shape and fits me as a maxi skirt as i am short! Love the ease of it’s style for smart casual look as well as casual.”

“Love the lightweight denim skirt,” said another, adding: “Looking forward to wearing it this spring with broderie anglaise white shirt as smart or more casual with t shirt and trainers or plimsolls. Fits beautifully, I am a size 10 and 5ft 2” so bought petite and haven’t got to alter the length as perfect for me.”

While a third penned: “Really nice smart/casual skirt. Love the stripes on the belt. Ideal for lunch with friends at the weekend and for the office.”

The skirt comes in sizes 6-24 in the regular length, though some have complained about the length, writing: “Happy with the fit and quality. Am regular height but this is a little longer than I’d hoped for.” But fear not because it also comes in long and petite versions in sizes 8-20.

And it’s even got a similar appearance to a much more expensive style, too. The M&S skirt bears resemblance to the Belted Denim Midi Skirt from Ralph Lauren, which costs £189, meaning you could get the look for less.

Christine styled her high street find with the Pure Silk Long Sleeve Shirt, which is also from M&S for £79, but as others have suggested, it would equally look great with a broderie blouse, like the M&S x Sienna Miller blouse Cat Deeley wore on This Morning last week. Alternatively, it does have a matching Denim Round Neck Blouse for £29.50 for a really cohesive look that gives the illusion of a dress from afar.
