It is a great time to be a Miranda Lambert fan. Earlier this year, she rebooted her career with her new album Postcards from Texas. The first release with her new label and team, the record saw her returning to her Texas roots. The result was a collection of songs that would have been right at home on her earlier releases. In short, it was a return to form for the singer/songwriter. Tonight, she shared her renewed energy with the crowd at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash from her bar, Casa Rosa.
As usual, Lambert took the stage in style, in a short denim dress with pink fringe. However, the iconic outfits and stage production are just icing on the cake. The performance she turned in tonight (December 31) proved that she could command a stadium full of fans without all of the extras.

Miranda Lambert Reflects on Postcards from Texas
Postcards from Texas is a landmark album for Miranda Lambert. It is her first release with her new team at Republic Records. Additionally, it was the first album she made in her home state of Texas since her early independent albums. Most importantly, she had full creative control over the album.
Earlier this year, Miranda Lambert spoke to American Songwriter about rebooting her career and what her new album means to her.
Lambert found the inspiration for her latest album while celebrating her 40th birthday. She and some friends took over Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth for her birthday bash. “That was the start of ‘I know what I’ve got to do now,’” she recalled. “I really just want to get back to the heart and root of it all. Not that I ever left it at all,” she added.
Lambert enlisted her longtime friend, collaborator, and producer Jon Randall to get the project started. They gathered a group of musicians they both had faith in, traveled to Arlyn Studios in Austin, Texas, and set to work. “As soon as we got in there I was like, ‘This is right. This feels right to me,’” she recalled.
Lambert hasn’t shared any big plans for 2025. However, with her renewed energy, new music is not out of the question.
