Sinitta has opened up about her new relationship in intimate detail, revealing her best pal Dame Kelly Holmes encouraged her to date the sexy suitor after a trip to Miami

Sinitta stunned the Loose Women panel today when she opened up about her new relationship.

The Toy Boy star, 60, who used to date media mogul Simon Cowell, has been single for 10 years, but is now delighted with her new man, who she met up with thanks to Kelly Holmes.

Chatting with the Olympian on Loose Women today, Sinitta said Dame Kelly encouraged her to pursue the sexy suitor in Miami two years ago after showing her his picture. Recalling the moment they became more than just friends, she purred: “He flies in for dinner, we went to a bar, had two tequilas – and then I woke up in his room.”

As the audience whooped and cheered, Sinitta smiled, adding: “It was like I was with my friend, there was nothing weird, it was lovely – after 10 VERY dry years.” As the panel giggled nervously, Kelly teased: “It’s a daytime show!”

Sinitta has dated a host of famous faces, including Brad Pitt and Simon. Reflecting on her friendship with the X Factor star, she said they were so close, the dad-of-one had even called her on New Year’s Eve while he was in bed with his partner, Lauren Silverman. Kelly, who was with Sinitta at the time, reminisced: “We were all on FaceTime and it was lovely. That’s how great your friendship is.”

However, Simon and Sinitta haven’t always seen eye to eye, with the Toy Boy previously telling Hello! magazine: “Even before he was Simon Cowell, the big mogul, women were attracted to him, and as a young girl dating him, I felt terribly threatened because he was always such a flirt.”

The situation was so shaky that Sinitta repeatedly ended things to find someone new, but always ended up back in Simon’s arms. “I’d go off and find somebody else. Then he’d see me and not like that,” she told The Mirror in 2011. “He’d do weird things to p*** my boyfriend off and then, of course, I’d go back to him. I dated David Essex for a bit and he’d be just winding him up. He’d be like ‘look how old he is… he could be your grandad… look at his hair’. He’d just pick holes so I’d go off them and go running back to him.”

It was during one of the pair’s splits in 1988 that Sinitta dated an up-and-coming actor called Brad Pitt. “He was in Dallas, but I was a Dynasty fan,” she said. “He played Priscilla Presley’s daughter’s boyfriend. I didn’t know who he was at all. He came to the UK and asked to meet me. I was quite prominent then. When I saw a picture, I was like [gasps] ‘OK, I’ll go. Who is he? Get him, get him!’ I went on this date with him and we just clicked.

She continued: “I had no decorum, I was like, ‘OK, I’ve got a new house, do you want to live with me?’ I didn’t have any furniture, I didn’t have any food in the fridge, but I had him and I was happy. He was just really fun. Everybody was after him and I was quite jealous. I was a bit crazy. I probably wasn’t super romantic. I just wanted to be with my friends. I was a clubby, party girl, and I wanted my cute boys to come with me. We’re not in touch. Once he got married to Jennifer Aniston, it kind of died off.”
