Stacey Solomon has been forced to deny she’s quit Loose Women after an eight-month hiatus from the show. The mum-of-five, 35, made her debut on the programme 13 years ago, but hasn’t been on the panel since December.
Many of Stacey’s legion of loyal fans were worried she’d left the ITV chat show – and colleagues, including Ruth Langsford and Coleen Nolan – for good after a source falsely claimed she’d “thrown in the towel”, choosing to focus on her other projects.
There were also reports that Loose Women had ‘stopped reaching out’ to the star after ‘giving up’ trying to get her on the show. However, a source close to Stacey told us that the star has not quit the ITV programme.

It comes after the Mail reported that the DIY guru had left the show to focus on her other TV commitments and hair care brand, Rehab.
Claiming ITV did everything they could to keep Stacey, they said: “The team at Loose Women did everything possible last year to have Stacey on the panel, the viewers love her and there’s always a boost to the ratings when she’s on.
“But it’s clear Stacey has quit Loose Women, she hasn’t been on the panel all year, there are no plans for her to appear, she most certainly hasn’t been booked and the show stopped reaching out months ago.”
However, thankfully, for Stacey’s fans, she’s still part of the gang.
The X Factor star first appeared appeared on Loose Women in 2011 and became a regular panellist in 2016.
She has made over 350 appearances, offering her no-nonsense take on all the pressing matters of the day, but has recently had her hands full, launching her first hair brand.
Aside from her guest stint at the Talkathon in December, Stacey’s last show on the panel was in June last year. However, she still claims to be a “Proud Loose Woman” on her Instagram bio.
As well as her TV projects, which include her Kardashian-style reality show called Stacey and Joe, the multi-tasker is also mum to five kids.
Stacey and Joe, who also has a son from another relationship, previously said they are happy with their family of six. However, recently a friend of the pair told us they wouldn’t be surprised if we hear the patter of tiny feet again in the future.
They said “The idea of another baby is never off the table completely. Stacey has been an amazing mum since she was 17 and she loves her kids and Joe more than anything. They’ve both got so much love to give and Joe is the best, most hands-on dad. They would have another baby if the time was right, but their lives are so busy.
“They’ve talked about Joe having a vasectomy but even then they’ve joked about it being reversible. No one would be surprised if a number seven came along.”
