Stacey Solomon is said to be ‘wincing’ over comments she made about eventually stepping back from her TV career, as she is ‘feeling torn’ over her future

Stacey Solomon seems to be backpedalling on her “five-year plan” as she struggles to balance her bustling career, her popular Instagram presence, and her family commitments.

It comes as the Sort Your Life Out star said she eventually wanted to leave the limelight to become a full-time mum to her kids with hubby Joe Swash. The 34-year-old shared her aspirations during an episode of the Glad We Had This Chat podcast, hosted by Caroline Hirons.

On the podcast, Stacey said: “This year, when my team asked me my five-year goals, I was like ‘I want to be a stay at home mum.’ That is my dream, my ultimate dream. I just want to be with my kids.”

An insider from the TV industry mentioned that Stacey is currently “feeling torn” due to several upcoming projects, reports the Express. Despite her ambitions, Stacey is reportedly anxious about potential backlash for focusing too much on her career.

A source told Closer: “Stacey is the first to admit she is a total chatterbox and will often get carried away when she’s being interviewed or talking about personal things on Loose Women.

“She’s been wincing over her comments that she’s going to give up her career to be a stay-at-home mum as it’s not strictly true.”

The source also noted that Stacey is facing a “mounting pile of projects” and is reluctant to choose between her professional life and family time.

Well-known for their “blended family,” Stacey and Joe parent seven children – Zachary, 16 and Leighton, 12 from previous relationships as well as Rex, five, Rose, two and Belle, 15 months with Joe. In addition, Joe also has an elder son, Harry, 16, from a past relationship.

Propelling to fame after her X Factor appearance in 2009, Stacey established herself as a Loose Women panellist and fronts popular programmes like “Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescue”.

The mum-of-three has built a successful social media profile garnering 5.9 million followers on Instagram, earning an impressive estimated £12,000 per sponsored post for brands.

But the celebrity faced backlash at Christmas when she flew her family out for a luxurious Caribbean holiday and later told critics to “unfollow” her. But sources hinted that Stacey worries about being “cancelled” or labelled as a “fraud”.

Insiders added that the telly host dreads the idea of upsetting her loyal “hardworking” fans, feeling as if she “can’t win” when expressing her views.
