Strictly Come Dancing star Thomas Skinner has broken his cover for the first time since he caused chaos for BBC bosses by walking out of the show’s official press launch yesterday.
The former Apprentice star was a controversial signing on the BBC show and things only got worse when he stormed out of the press interviews during the launch yesterday.
He was seen snatching a reporter’s phone and storming out of interviews after appearing to take issue with being recorded whilst he spoke, a common practice in the industry. He was alongside fellow contestant, former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank, for the interviews, when he was asked about Strictly and took issue with the comments.
The BBC have since made a decision and he will continue in the Latin and ballroom show. The corporation initially released a statement, which said “any behaviour which falls below the standards expected will not be tolerated”.

However, Thomas is expected to continue. An insider said all 15 celebrities were due to film the launch, with a source telling us: “It was a surprise turn of events yesterday but hopefully everything will return to normal today.”
In a clip of the moment, Thomas could be heard saying: “What’s that? Are you taping it?” The reporter then answered: “We have to record it,” before she was heard asking: “What are you doing?”

A voice was heard: “Just answer the question, we’ve got three minutes,” before the reporter said: “No, no, no, don’t.” Thomas then said: “That’s about me,” before the reporter answered: “No, it’s not.”
When one person asked ‘what made them run the question’, the reporter said they were ‘just recording it’. After a few moments of inaudible audio, someone else said: “Oh my God, he’s gone.”
Today, Tom was spotted near Elstree grabbing a few items before he heads to the pre-record of the show. He is one of 15 celebrities set to show off their dancing skills later today for the official pre-record of the launch show.

A source had previously claimed the BBC were holding crisis talks over Thomas’ future on the show.
“This is exactly what Strictly did not need. With all the recent controversy, bosses wanted this series to be smooth sailing, but Thomas is already causing havoc,” the source told Daily Mail, “It’s unprecedented for a celebrity to walk out of the show’s media launch day and bosses think it’s really bad form.”
