Emmerdale fans will have to wait longer to see who dies in the horrifying cliff stunt. Last night, viewers watched on as evil John Sugden pulled his husband Aaron Dingle off the side of the ravine.

He called the police and blamed Robert Sugden for what had happened, before throwing him and Aaron off the cliff. A horrified Robert screamed for Aaron but could do nothing to stop them. Will Aaron and John have survived the fall?

Fans will have to wait just a big longer to find out as there will be no Emmerdale this evening, owing to the European Qualifiers airing on ITV1 instead. Normality will resume for Emmerdale fans on Wednesday, when it airs in its usual slot before the NTAs.

On Thursday, Emmerdale will air its usual hour long episode at 7.30pm and on Friday, the usual half an hour episode will air before Coronation Street. This means soap fans are missing half an hour of action from the Dales this week.

Speaking about the big scenes, Ryan Hawley revealed: “There’s so much going on. They’re on the edge of a cliff, there’s a revelation about Mack and another about Nate. It’s a very perplexing situation.

“He approaches the gorge and looks over. And he sees two lifeless-looking bodies at the bottom … It’s a great climax, a great ending to the story of this serial killer. I read every single scene in it all the way through. I loved it.”

The trio have teased what’s to come and who survives. Ryan said: “John and Aaron are going to be falling over the cliff – will they survive, will they not?”

Danny added: “I think it’s more about which one survives – if any. That’s a good teaser.” Speaking about working with Oliver – who plays John – Danny said: “It’s really strange because Oliver Farnworth is one of the nicest people I’ve worked with – and the most professional man I’ve worked with.”

“It’s been an absolute rollercoaster working with the people I’ve worked with – working side by side with him is an adventure every day,” Oliver added – as he teased this could be it for John.

Whilst Robert is unharmed, Ryan has teased this could be it for his character too. “Everything is getting blamed on Robert and no one believes him. Maybe Robert might leave – maybe,” he said.
