Amanda Owen shared a rare update on her personal life on Loose Women

Amanda Owen has taken a swipe at ex Clive Owen three years after announcing their seperation.

The Yorkshire Shepherdess appeared on the ITV daytime show on Wednesday (October 29) to chat to panellists Jane Moore, GK Barry, Judi Love and Mariella Frostup about her new book Christmas Tales from the Farm.

However, conversation quickly turned to her family life when host Jane brought up her nine children.

Mariella pointed out: “It’s nearly a football team” before Jane asked the guest: “What’s the age range?”

Amanda replied: “Don’t put me on the spot like that” and after a brief pause she continued: “Youngest one is eight, the oldest one is 23.”

Judi wondered: “Did you plan to have nine?” Amands said: “Plan? Oh god no. There was never any family planning. It was not the plan at all. It was just find the right place.”

Amanda and ex-husband Clive announced their seperation in 2022 after 22 years of marriage and the pair still live together in different parts of the same property.

Speaking about their relationship status, she explained: “We are friends but we’re not skipping around hand in hand or anything because if we were we wouldn’t be separated.

“It’s created that space between us that I think is a far healthier dynamic. Its kind of taken the pressure of a little bit.”

Jane went to mention that Amanda is are going on tour next month to talk to fans about her career and the Our Yorkshire Farm star was quick to reveal that Clive wasn’t joining her, saying: “I’m not going with him.”

Amanda and Clive have been able to put feelings aside and get on with an enormous amount of hard work, just the thought of which would leave most people needing a lie down.

The Owens’ gradual rise to fame saw them reach the dizzying heights of TV stardom as they gained fans through their hit Channel 5 series Our Yorkshire Farm.

Amanda, who was popular for her social media posts as The Yorkshire Shepherdess, first appeared on TV with her family as part of Adrian Edmondson’s 2011 series The Dales, and later they featured in Ben Fogle’s New Lives in the Wild.

Their appeal to viewers was quickly snapped up by Channel 5 for their own show, Our Yorkshire Farm, which ran from 2018 until their marriage breakdown in 2022.

However, as of October 2024, the Owens are back on screen together for More4 series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.
