Former glamour model Katie Price has said she’s been left ‘very, very upset’ over the distance between herself and daughter Princess Andre as she stays out of her TV show

Katie Price and daughter Princess Andre once appeared inseparable, however tensions are reportedly rising between the pair resulting in a rift. The former glamour model, 47, spoke out after she was banned from appearing on Princess’ TV series and said she is “very, very upset”.

Model and influencer Princess, 18, is carving out a career of her own thanks to her Princess Diaries ITV2 show. However, Katie claimed she was not allowed to feature on the series, with Princess’ dad Peter Andre and step mum Emily allowed in front of the cameras instead.

The mum-of-five even claimed she was not invited to Princess’ 18th birthday party because it was being filmed. Princess’ series was made by Peter’s management company, who looked after Katie during her time with the Mysterious Girl hitmaker from 2003 to 2009. It comes after Katie Price worried fans with her appearance in a family photo after explaining her weight loss.

The company, Can Associates, were behind Katie and Pete’s mega money ITV show but the former glamour model has since fallen out with them. Katie fumed on her Katie Price Show podcast: “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it.

“Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me.” She added: “It’s pathetic. I’m her mother. It’s so sad. When certain people who used to look after me are now looking after…”

In a further update on the snub, Katie insisted there is no bad blood but she has been very upset over one issue. Addressing the rift rumours directly, Katie said on her podcast: “There’s been all of these rumours that there’s a rift between me and Princess.

“There is absolutely no rift between me and Princess. Me and Princess have never, ever, ever had an argument to this day – or a disagreement.

“We get on like best friends, mother and daughter. Princess lives with me and she stays at her dad’s. She’s been staying at her dad’s the past two months because she’s been filming her show. Our personal life together is amazing.”

Yet, she is upset that Princess has signed to Peter’s management company. Katie claims she ran into the production team of Princess’ show while in Ibiza and burst into tears over not being able to see her daughter.

“I don’t know where it is going to go from here,” she admitted. Katie went on to say the whole side of her family are upset over not having a say or being involved in Princess’ growing career. “It’s disgusting how we are treated as a family,” she said.

However, the mother and daughter duo suffered an awkward moment as Katie appeared to get Princess’ birthday very wrong. While in Ibiza, she made a huge gaffe by wishing her daughter a happy birthday two days early.

Katie recently revealed Princess had even moved out of her home so she could do her documentary. “I am not even allowed to breathe near the documentary, she has been predominantly staying at her dad’s while she is filming,” Katie fumed on her podcast.

She remained adamant her daughter will return to her home as she added: “Princess will live with me it’s only because she has been filming that she has been at Pete’s because I am not allowed anywhere near it. She has only got about two weeks left of filming.”

It has been claimed Princess was told to distance herself from her mum, who has been left feeling like Brooklyn Beckham. “Katie feels isolated and disregarded,” a source told the Sun.

“She loves Princess so much and is supremely proud of the young woman she is becoming. Princess told her mum that she needed to distance herself publicly and yet chats to her all the time behind closed doors.”

They added: “She feels a bit like Brooklyn Beckham, with no one in the Andre family really speaking to her.”

On her documentary series, Princess shared her own experience of growing up with Katie and Peter. In a candid confession, Princess said: “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then.

“But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”
