Two years after her exit from The Apprentice, Emma Browne has returned to the classroom, revealing her pursuit of a Master’s degree to her Instagram followers.
Emma, who failed to secure Lord Sugar’s investment after her team lost a cultural tour challenge in Antigua, shared a photo of a classroom setting alongside a motivational message.
“Back studying for Masters in the evenings, want the best future possible (got to work for it). See everyday as a new opportunity to better yourself,” she wrote, highlighting her focus on personal growth and professional development.
Originally from County Kildare, Ireland, Emma’s BBC biography described her as a “workaholic” with an unwavering commitment to anything she takes on.

She also admitted: “I am disgustingly competitive. I will go to any lengths to win this investment.”
Her drive and determination made her a standout on the show, though her elimination prompted widespread backlash from viewers, who argued Marnie Swindells, the eventual winner, should have been the one to leave.
Fans took to social media, with one writing: “Emma getting fired is the biggest BS decision Lord Sugar has ever made.”
Another added: “Oh come on Emma didn’t deserve to go… Marnie ya sly one!” A third commented: “Never in a million years should Emma have went,” while a fourth posted: “Justice for Emma! Marnie should absolutely have gone.”
Marnie, a boxing gym owner who was 29 at the time of the show, reflected on her experience as a contestant and the intense scrutiny participants face.
Speaking with Office Freedom, she described the process as a “serious rollercoaster” and pointed out the need for better support systems.

“More could be done around the aftercare and making sure people’s heads are okay throughout the process,” she said.
She went on: “I expected a little bit more support at times and it felt like a checkbox exercise. I think they do genuinely care, but whether they have enough resources and protocols in place to protect from people having a bad emotional experience with it, I’m not sure.”
Marnie highlighted the sudden public attention: “You go from being an absolute nobody, then overnight the whole of the UK has an opinion on what you’re doing and is watching you intensely – not just on Thursday nights, but throughout the week they want to know what you’re doing and who you are. It’s a serious roller coaster and journey.”
Emma’s return to education underscores her resilience and determination to succeed beyond the reality TV spotlight.
By pursuing a Master’s degree, she demonstrates a commitment to her future and a willingness to invest in herself, showing that her ambitions extend far beyond the boardroom of The Apprentice.
