The Celebrity version of the Traitors is airing in just a matter of days as the BBC gears up for a new version of their hit show – but who will be named a Traitor and who will be a Faithful?

The celebrity version of The Traitors is just days away – and some very famous faces will be heading into the castle. The BBC show is back for a star-studded version, which kicks off early next month.

A string of famous faces will enter the Scottish castle for a chance to win a huge amount of money for charity. The celebrities set to enter the castle include comedian Alan Carr, singer Cat Burns, actress Celia Imrie, singer Charlotte Church, broadcaster and presenter Clare Balding and historian and filmmaker Daivd Olusoga.

Also set to enter the castle is former rugby star turned podcaster Joe Marler, comedian Joe WIlkinson, presenter Jonathan Ross, broadcaster Kate Garraway and actor Mark Bonnar. Completing the line-up is actor and comedian Nick Mohammed, content creator Niko Omilana, singer Paloma Faith, actress Ruth Codd, presenter Stephen Fry, EastEnders ‘ Tameka Empson and Olympian Tom Daley.

A number of them will be named Traitors and will have to convince the others they are on the same team – but who will come out on top and who will be playing the ultimate game of deception?

We are yet to find out much about the new series but we know the celebrities will be competing to win a cash prize up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice. The show will kick off on October 8th and will run every Wednesday and Thursday evening.

The new series – and the first celebrity version in the UK – will kick off with an extra-long first episode, as fans will see 70 minutes of drama, backstabbing and allegiances being drawn.

A new trailer has now dropped, which sees the celebrities discuss their “dark sides” and their hope of winning. Stephen Fry says: “I don’t know what beasts lie within me,” whilst Tom Daley says: “I’m going to fight to the death.”

There’s trouble and treachery ahead!

Viewers are also shown host Claudia Winkleman picking her Traitors. “I have selected my Traitors,” she tells the group as they remove their blindfolds, “Tomorrow the killing spree begins.”

Some of the celebrities are shown after her comment and some already have their blindfolds off whilst others are shown taking them off. Could this be a clue on who the initial Traitors might be – or is this another red herring?

Of the new series, host Claudia said: “We’re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes. I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.”
