Asha’s in a lot of pain right now

In tonight’s episode of Coronation Street (Monday, October 6), Asha Alahan sadly attempted to end her own life before being found unconscious.

Asha left Brody Michaelis to mind the shop before heading out with a bottle of vodka.

She was then found by Theo Silverton and was rushed to hospital.

Asha Alahan has a lot on her plate at the moment and has tried to hide her true struggles from her family.

However, with Mason’s and Craig’s deaths and Naomi’s abuse whirring away in her mind, tonight Asha attempted to take her own life as her pain became unbearable.

Brody took over running the shop while Asha left him in charge without any explanation as to where she was heading off to.

Theo later stumbled upon her unconscious on a bench, next to an empty bottle of vodka.

At the hospital, Asha woke up as Dev found out that she’d also taken a number of pills.

Asha told Dev that it wasn’t an accident and that she’d intended to take her own life.

The pair then had a heartfelt chat as a mental health specialist arrived to speak to Asha.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal upset Dev’s reaction

Tonight, Dev was devastated to learn of Asha’s suicide attempt but vowed to be there for her, showing his love for his daughter.

However, as he worries that the impact of the drugs on Asha’s body might be a lasting one, Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of the week reveal that he’s not coping well.

Dev’s upset turns to anger towards Asha and the decision she made to leave her family behind.

He then heads to the hospital to visit his daughter. But, can Dev support a still struggling Asha?
