Cruz Beckham makes savage dig as brother Brooklyn shows off new skill amid feud

Cruz Beckham appears to have made yet another thinly veiled dig at his older brother Brooklyn amid the continued family feud between the Beckham clan.

Brooklyn’s brother Cruz, 20, who is the youngest son of power couple David and Victoria Beckham, took to Instagram to share a cryptic post about golf as his estranged brother takes part in the Ryder Cup today.

Brooklyn, 26, has swapped Hollywood life for the fairways of New York on Wednesday as he joined a line-up of stars competing in the Ryder Cup’s Celebrity Match at Bethpage Black.

The showcase, a regular warm-up before the main tournament begins on Friday, saw 16 famous names split into Team USA and Team Europe for a light-hearted clash. Brooklyn, 26, represented Europe alongside former NBA great Toni Kukoc, going head-to-head with comedian Colin Jost and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning.

While Brooklyn laps up the atmosphere at the Ryder Cup, his younger brother took to Instagram to share a perfectly timed post about golf. Cruz re-posted a meme video of a man excitedly saying: “Gosh I’m just fired up to be today.”

Alongside side the meme, the caption read: “The one friend who sucks at golf but comes for the vibes.” Above the post, Cruz added: “That’s me”.

The eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham is appearing at the event against the backdrop of his strained relationship with his family. He was noticeably absent from public celebrations of his brother Romeo’s 23rd birthday last week, with fans pointing out that he failed to join the flood of tributes.

Brooklyn, who now lives permanently in Los Angeles with wife Nicola Peltz, has not been pictured with the Beckhams since last Christmas. His rare returns to the UK have been limited to professional duties, including an advertising campaign for Moncler.

Tensions are said to remain unresolved between the Beckhams and the couple, who recently renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony that did not include Brooklyn’s parents.

Brooklyn now lives permanently in Los Angeles with wife Nicola Peltz

Despite the personal backdrop, Brooklyn appeared relaxed as he tested his swing alongside the A-list cast of competitors, continuing a tradition of celebrity appearances at golf’s biggest team event.

It’s not the first time Cruz has taken a savage swipe at his brother, Brooklyn. During the summer, after a follower expressed their scepticism over the 20-year-old’s new career path, Cruz used it as an opportunity to give his older brother a dig.

In recent months, Cruz has been sharing snippets of him and his pals recording music together in a dark studio as they played instruments and sang original songs.

He recently promoted a snippet of his track, For ya love, on his TikTok page but not all of his followers were impressed as they compared him and his interest in music to eldest brother Brooklyn’s many hobbies in recent years, including being a former aspiring photographer and now an aspiring chef and hot sauce enthusiast.

“Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?” they asked in the comment section. Cruz was quick to retort with: “Wrong brother mate.”

Another person posted: “He has the talent of an average teenage boy that just recently started learning guitar,” to which Cruz said: “It’s easy to comment on TikTok isn’t it, u think I care what you think darling.”

Cruz is known to post cryptic posts on social media, especially now that the Beckham family are embroiled in a feud with Brooklyn and his socialite wife, Nicola Peltz, with fans noticing how the couple snubbed Victoria’s birthday, David’s milestone 50th birthday celebrations as well as his recent knighthood.

Reports have suggested the cause of the fall out is down to a disagreement between Brooklyn and middle brother Romeo over the latter’s romance with former model Kim Turnbull.

But conflicting reports have suggested the cause of a family spat dates back to Brooklyn’s wedding day to Nicola Peltz, 30, and a feud between her and matriarch Vicky.

The family is yet to make clear the status of their relationships – provoking an avalanche of rumours and speculations.
