It has been reported that Eamonn Holmes has pulled out his ace card in a bid to keep his relationship with Katie Alexander on track after the couple hit their first obstacle in their relationship. According to reports, the couple hit their first stumbling block after Eamonn reportedly pulled out of purchasing a £550,000 semi-detached house in West Yorkshire.

The couple allegedly started dating back in August last year.

And so, in a desperate bid to ease her disappointment, Eamonn has been lavishing her with a number of luxury treats.

The GB News presenter, 65, organised a special VIP lunch at Fulham football stadium’s new £100m stand to watch his team Manchester United. Tickets for the VIP stand allegedly cost up to an estimated £12,000.

Eamonn, who is yet to finalise his divorce from Loose Women panellist Ruth Langsford, was dressed in a blue suit. Meanwhile, Katie was seen wearing a pin-striped outfit.

Two days before, on Friday, Katie and Eamonn jetted off to Belfast for a luxury weekend. And this came after the pair headed to Cyprus last month to enjoy family time with Katie and her three children.

The couple and her children were spotted on a cruise which boasted a glass bottom deck and a sprawling buffet, according to The Sun. The group were staying at a five star hotel in Paphos.

And the publication claim that the holiday was Eamonn’s first attempt to smooth over their crack, the first in their year long relationship. The Annabelle Hotel comes complete with swimming pools, four restaurants, a gym, a tennis court and a spa.

In May last year, news emerged that Eamonn and Ruth had separated, ending 14 years of marriage.

A source told the newspaper: “Eamonn and Katie didn’t always look blissfully happy at the football, but at least they showed they are still an item. Eamonn’s moody face later might have been due to United conceding an equaliser to Fulham – denying his team a much needed win. The Northern Ireland air will have cheered him up for sure.”
