‘I’m never going to be thin’

V personality Gemma Collins has opened up about her dramatic weight loss after shedding more than three stone on Mounjaro.

The former TOWIE star, 44, says her days of obsessing over food are behind her thanks to the “life-changing” NHS-approved weight loss jab. She revealed that she now only eats one meal a day and rarely thinks about snacking.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the launch of Paddy Power and The Hippodrome Casino’s new Sportsbook venue in Leicester Square, Gemma was unapologetically candid about her journey with her body and why she’s proud to keep her signature curves.

Gemma Collins opens up about weight loss journey

“Nothing against skinny people, but I don’t ever want to be thin,” she declared. “Darling, I became most famous being who I am. If I got stick thin overnight, it would kill my brand, my endorsements, and it wouldn’t be me.”

The TV personality tipped the scales at over 23 stone and wore a size 26 at her heaviest.

However, she said she finally feels at peace in her own skin after battling body image issues for more than two decades.

Diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) at age 28, Gemma says her struggle with weight has been long and emotional. But taking Mounjaro has shifted her focus from appearance to health.

“I’m never going to be thin, and I’ve made peace with that,” she said.

Gemma gushed that she still “loves” her curves, and that losing weight has helped her “embrace” her natural body size.

‘I only eat once a day’

Gemma said her relationship with food has changed drastically since starting the Mounjaro jab in November 2024. Once preoccupied with constant cravings, she now finds food isn’t even on her mind most days.

“For me, taking the jab is more about helping me not to fixate on food. I actually only eat once a day now and don’t snack,” she explained. “I used to fascinate about food all day. But now it’s not a major player in my life anymore. I’ve forgotten all about it.”

Although she’s keeping her current weight private, she confirmed she’s lost more than three stone. However, the reality star is now more concerned with making smarter choices and maintaining a balanced mindset than reaching a certain dress size.

“If I get a bit hungry, I’ll have something to eat, but it’s just about smarter choices,” Gemma admitted.
