Former Geordie Shore star Gary Beadle has been labelled as ‘out of touch’ and ‘disrespectful’ after asking if Center Parcs is ‘cheap and tacky’

Gary Beadle has sparked backlash after questioning whether Center Parcs is “cheap and tacky” during his first visit to the UK holiday spot.

The Geordie Shore star, 37, who has made millions from the MTV reality show, took his two children, Chester and Primrose, on a short three-day trip with girlfriend Maia Ellen.

Known for his jet-setting lifestyle, Gaz appeared to question the quality of the resort in an Instagram post, asking if it was going to be “cheap and tacky”. However, he later edited the comment out following huge backlash from his followers.

Dozens of unimpressed social media users flocked to the comments of the reality TV’s post to call him out and he was quickly labelled as “out of touch” and “disrespectful”.

One outraged user wrote: “Cheap and tacky? What a little ding you are. That’s a really nice holiday for some and you’re degrading it. Remember where you come from and just remember how lucky you are to have any money from so called fame.”

Someone else fumed: “Fame really does go to people’s heads and it’s a very sad thing to watch in real-time.

“Hundreds of families save up all year long to be able to go to Center Parcs, putting away money every single month, and working so hard to be able to bring their kids off for a few days. Whereas you drank yourself silly and bedded a load of birds on the telly and now think you’re better than everyone else? Get a grip Gary.”

Others accused the TV star of looking down on the holiday location. One asked: “Oh so you literally think you’re better than everyone else now yeah? Idiot.”

While another advised: “Gaz, you should probably think a bit more before you go posting something like this, in this economy, in the world we live in today.”

Despite the backlash, Gaz shared honest reflections on the cost of the trip, admitting activities added up quickly: “Activities are good but can be pricey for what they are… don’t over book them maybe 1/2 a day max plus swimming.”

He also offered some practical tips for future visitors, writing: “Take your own bikes if possible and a big shop and eat in your cabin as some places can be pricey and it’s nice to have a rest in the cabin. We ate out on nights but in future would do that once maybe and just eat in and chill.”

He gave a specific example of unexpected costs, warning: “Be careful on things like pottery where u have to pay to do it and then buy your pottery haha 4 people and all of a sudden your £100 down.”

Gaz’s post featured moments from the trip with his children and Maia, his first public relationship since splitting from Emma McVey, who is the mother of his two children.
