Josie Gibson has spoken out about Meghan Markle and revealed how she can relate to her as a mother.
The presenter, 40, was on air with her co-host Rylan Clark on Wednesday’s This Morning and they were joined by Nick Ferrari and Sonia Sodha to discuss the former actress’ Netflix reality show.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry left the UK in 2020 for a life in LA, and rescinded their royal duties in favour of a more private life. The former Suits star has launched the second season of With Love, Meghan, and in episode three, she candidly admitted that she was ‘not well’ when she had to leave their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet for three weeks.

Meghan did not address it directly, but she mentioned that the time period was how long she was in the UK for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth in September 2022.
Speaking about the admission, Josie said: “I just think she’s damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t, you know, maybe she didn’t want to take the kids out of their routine. They were one and three, to put them halfway across the routine.”
Nick argued: “They’re one and three, there is no routine, though, Josie. If they were approaching serious exams…a one year old hasn’t got a routine,” and Josie shot back: “They will have a sleep routine, you’d have to put them in bed at a certain time, she’s a bit, yeah like…”

Sonia seemed to agree with Nick that the former Suits actress had been ‘very predictable’ by dropping private matters into the Netflix show in the name of publicity. She said: “Netflix are hoping to make a lot of money from this show, they want lots of PR for it. It’s very predictable that these titbits are gonna get huge PR.
“Where Nick is right is they do want it all, they want it both ways. They want their privacy, but they also want a lot of publicity on their terms.
“Thankfully, I don’t have that level of fame and I’m very grateful for that because I think it’s quite hard to live your life.”
But in the end, Josie, who is mother to six-year-old son Reggie, admitted that she can ‘relate’ to Meghan because of how her career has sometimes made her experience ‘guilt’ if it means she has had to sacrifice time with her children.
She said: “I think she’s just talking about being a mum. I’ve taken on jobs and I still get the mum guilt to this day. Three weeks is a long time. I just think I can relate to what she’s saying.”
