Junior Andre took to his social media to publicly praise his mum, Katie Price, after she unexpectedly shot up the iTunes dance charts with her old songs, which were initially released almost a decade ago.

Junior shared a screenshot that showed Katie Price’s name was listed at numbers 1 and 6, alongside Chappel Roan and Ed Sheeran. Proud son, Junior wrote: “Number 1 and number 6, well done mum”. Katie then reposted Junior on her own stories, along with many other people congratulating her on the musical milestone.

The former glamour model and reality TV star has seen her 2017 dance track I Got U and her 2019 track Hurricane shoot up the charts unexpectedly, and a resurfaced clip of her singing ‘I Got U’ live on Loose Women has gone viral.

The single first made waves in 2017 during her second attempt at a pop career, but originally peaked at number five in the charts.

In response to the rise of Katie’s tracks, Katie’s representative told The Mirror: “Katie can’t believe the amount of support she’s had from the public! This shows what women supporting women can achieve and the power of social media.”

A source also told The Sun: “This is a massive surprise for Kate, she’s always loved singing and this is a dream come true! She is having so much support from the public and can’t thank them enough for her latest entrance into the charts.”

Katie took to her own social media where she stated the public support ‘means the world, as she said: “Thank you to everyone my dreams have come true. Well, for once I’m speechless! Thank you so much!”

Earlier this year, Katie revealed plans to build on her musical success with a new album and a tour. She told fans on TikTok: “Music, I’ve got my album coming out, I’m going up and down the country doing my normal gigs and next year, I haven’t released the dates yet, I’m touring up and down the country.

“It’s going to be called Katie Price’s Big Bangers, where I do a lot of old school covers and my own material as well. You’ll have to watch.”

Fans can’t get enough of Katie’s music as one person commented: “We need to get this as number 1 official charts”, while another added: “you deserve this kate”.

A third said: “So happy for you Katie! We stand with you xxxx”.

Katie’s chat topping singles follow after her ex-husband Peter Andre issued a statement earlier this month regarding Katie, as he hit out at ’16 years of lies.’ He said he wanted to “set the record straight” on a 2019 family court order that brought their two children under his care.

“Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address,” he wrote. “Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.” Katie responded with a social media post about “fake sinners who play the victim”, declaring, “I’m trying to be the best I can.”
