Katie Price has been slammed by fans after going on a sunbed despite her fears that she could be battling cancer again.

The Pricey was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma cancer in 2000 aged 24. At the time she was pregnant with her son Harvey. The rare form of cancer attacks muscle cells found in the body.

And earlier this month, Katie revealed her fresh cancer scare, worried that the cancer had returned. But this week, despite her fears, the mum-of-five was back topping up her tan – and fans are furious.

Katie Price goes on sunbed despite cancer fears

On Thursday (September 25), Katie took to her Facebook and shared a photo of her posing near a sunbed. She captioned the post: “It’s that time again.”

The reality star also uploaded a video of her getting ready to try a red light therapy bed. She said: “So before I try the sun bed, not try – have the sunbed. I’m going to try this red light therapy bed, which is right here.”

Katie added: “Never had one before, apparently it’s good for your bones and skin. Let me check it out.”

However, Katie’s post didn’t go down well with some of her fans who shared their concerns and rushed to the comments section.

“I thought you said that cancer COULD be an issue…now you’re on a sunbed?? And yet you have cancer worries, why would you take that risk?” said one person.

Another chimed in: “Talks about Cancer scares, then posts on a sun bed???”

A third penned: “Too much sun can give you cancer, I’m going to give you a fatherly advice STOP pushing yourself too far.”

Someone else wrote: “Well that’s not good Katie if you’re worried about a cancer scare going on the sun beds.”

Katie’s cancer scare

Katie’s sunbed trip comes after she revealed earlier this month that she was facing a fresh cancer scare after experiencing symptoms she had 23-years ago.

Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, the former glamour model said: “You know when I had cancer years ago. For some who didn’t know, when I was pregnant with Harvey, I got cancer, It was called Leiomyosarcoma.

“If you look at my finger, there is a hole there and a scar where I had it cut out twice. Can you see that dent? It never hurt. But a lump started coming up and I thought I had been riding and done something.”

However, it was discovered to be cancer, and Katie was having MRI scans and check-ups for six years, before she got the all-clear.

But suddenly, 23-years-later, Katie started experiencing pain in her finger, and realised she needed to get it checked out.

She explained: “The same finger, up here, about three weeks go. I thought, ‘have I knocked it?’ Because it hurts when I push it. But there is no lump.”

Despite giving it some time to go away by itself, Katie decided it was time to get tests. Katie added: “The pain still hasn’t gone. So, I am going to get that X-rayed and looked at. So, I hope it’s not that again.”
