Mary Berry previously made a shock plastic surgery confession – more than 50 years into her TV career.
The national treasure, 90, is a staple on screens thanks to her appearances on shows such as The Great British Bake Off and Mary Berry’s Simple Flavours – which is on today (August 23).
And it’s fair to say Mary looks decades younger than her 90 years. And, according to Mary, she would never have plastic surgery – despite her grandkids throwing a few jibes her way…

Mary Berry ‘happy’ with her face
TV legend Mary has been in the business for years. And while many of her showbiz pals have become partial to getting some work done, for Mary, she is not a fan.
In an interview from 2017, Mary opened up about her thoughts on plastic surgery, and if she would ever go under the knife.
“I’m quite happy with my face; I’ve got loads of wrinkles!” she declared to Woman and Home magazine.

Mary added: “I have no wish to have any Botox, or a facelift. Our surgeons are busy enough. Let them do proper jobs.”
The beloved star then recalled a time when her granddaughter made a savage swipe about her “baggy” bits.
Mary said: “My granddaughter was sitting on my lap looking at the area around my collarbones, which is a bit baggy and bony, and said: ‘Granny! You’ve got two holes!’”

Away from the TV sets, Mary has been happily married to Paul Hunnings since 1966. The couple had three children: Thomas, Annabel and William – the latter of whom sadly died in 1989 in a car accident when he was a teen.
And, while Mary and Paul have managed to have quite a fairy-tale relationship, according to the star baker, he wasn’t exactly her first choice when it came to a suitor.
Back in 2019, Mary confessed that during the early days of her romance with Paul, she had another boyfriend in a different city as well as “several” others.
