Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been together almost 10 years, and married in 2018, but throughout this time she’s been subject of cruel rumours of plastic surgery and nose jobs.

The Hollywood star gave up acting after she wed the Duke of Sussex. Prior to her nuptials, her biggest role was in the legal drama Suits.

Cruel trolls have claimed for years that Meghan Markle has undergone a nose job, despite the royal sharing photos of her younger self. However, a plastic surgeon spoke out before she married Prince Harry giving their input, where he believes, with his experience, the actress has never gone under the knife.

Meghan Markle accused of having a nose job

After the royal shared photos of herself as a teen, trolls began claiming Meghan Markle had undergone plastic surgery to get a nose job. The 44-year-old has never addressed any of these claims, nor any under cosmetic treatments.

Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme, Medical Director of Adonia Medical Clinic and Consultant Physician at UCLH, defended the royal when these rumours emerged back in 2017.

She believed Meghan was a natural beauty.

She simply said to The Express: “Looking at her teenage pictures and now there are no obvious enhancements. Beautiful then and beautiful now.”

Rumours Meghan Markle was one of the A-listers who opted for a nose job came after she shared images of her recent birthday celebrations, and trolls accused the royal of having plastic surgery. In the new photo, Meghan is blowing out candles of a cake while at a restaurant with friends. The side profile stirred up the cruel accusations once again.

However, they appear to forget she’s been in the public eye for decades, and over time, looks do change. Another point is how makeup and styles have transformed over the years. When Meghan was growing up, contouring, bronzing and highlighting were not as popular as they are for the standard person.

Royal’s old Instagram posts are hard to deny

The now mum-of-two had an Instagram profile when she met Harry. However, she decided to shut it down after becoming a part of the royal family.

At the time it was partly because she would have one as part of The Firm for her work through the royal family alongside Harry. Another was that she was bullied online.

She spoke about the decision in 2020, where she said it was ‘helpful’.

Meghan explained: “I’ve made a personal choice to not have any account, so I don’t know what’s out there, and in many ways that’s helpful for me.”

But some of her archived posts from her Instagram were saved, and if we look at the old pictures we can see clearly Meghan Markle has not had a nose job or plastic surgery.

In some of the snaps, she is smiling at the camera, on her travels or dining with friends. There’s also more side profiles where you can see all that’s changed is the testament of time.

Fans were opting for plastic surgery to get Meghan Markle’s nose

After her relationship with Prince Harry went public, adoration for the star skyrocketed.

Many tried to adopt her chic fashion style, and others went as far as going to a surgeon to get her look permanently.

Dr David Cangello told People in 2017 that patients were willing to undergo surgery to look like the future Duchess of Sussex.

“Overall her nose balances nicely with the rest of her facial features,” he said at the time. “Many patients seek nasal proportions similar to Meghan’s when describing their ideal nose during consultation.”
