Singer Perrie Edwards and footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have announced that their son Axel is set to become a big brother in the coming months
Perrie Edwards has revealed she and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are expecting another child. The former Little Mix singer is already mum to Axel, four.
Taking to social media in view of her 18.8million followers, the If He Wanted to He Would hitmaker shared an adorable video of the news, showing off her bump and featuring a rare glimpse of her son Axel and partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Perrie, 32 said in the caption: “Guess what hunnies…” followed by a heart emoji.
The caption is in reference to a lyric in her song If He Wanted To He Would. The black and white video sees Perrie walking away from the camera with her back to the lens. She is sporting a T-shirt with the words: “If He Wanted To He Would…” emblazoned on the back.

She then turns around to face the camera and smiles widely while clutching her blossoming bump as the front of her top reads: “…and he did!” Perrie’s partner Alex, 32, then joins her in the frame as he gives her a big hug and a kiss.
The couple’s first child Axel then makes a rare appearance as Perrie opens her arms and her beloved eldest son, four, walks up to his mum and kisses her bump. The family of three then share a sweet hug as the video ends.

In recent weeks, Perrie has been sporting a blossoming baby bump at various events, including while performing Relight My Fire with pop icon, Robbie Williams, in her hometown.
The joyous news for Perrie and her fiancé, Alex, comes just weeks after it was suggested that the couple could finally be moving in with one another – despite being engaged since 21016.
Due to their conflicting schedules, with Perrie often touring the world, and Alex making a home in cities such as Liverpool and Istanbul due to his footballing career, they have rarely spent time living together. Last year, Perrie said that they’d “never lived together” during their relationship due to this.
But this is all set to change after Alex entered a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with Beşiktaş Jimnastik Kulübü, meaning he was free to move back to the United Kingdom.
“She’s never made a secret of the struggles that came with a long-distance relationship, but with Alex now being eyed by the likes of Birmingham City and Leeds, it looks like they’ll finally be a proper family – something they’ve always wanted,” a source told The Sun.
Perrie and Alex are already parents to four-year-old son, Axel
In August, Perrie bravely revealed that she had tragically suffered a miscarriage at 22 weeks while rehearsing for Little Mix’s final tour. During an appearance on Paul C. Brunson’s We Need To Talk podcast, she explained that she fell pregnant a year after Axel was born.
Revealing the results of her devastating 22-week scan, the singer shared: “We went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like horrendous. And I just knew something was wrong in the scan, and he [the doctor] just kept going over the same thing, over the same thing… I’ve never experienced an out-of-body experience where everything goes in slow motion.”
The news comes after speculation that Perrie and Alex may be moving in together fully for the first time (

Revealing that Alex was “struggling to drive” on the way home from the hospital, Perrie tearfully continued: “So yeah, we basically lost the baby at like 24 weeks.” The star also sadly suffered a miscarriage before Axel was born, very early on in her first pregnancy. Explaining that her son was her “rainbow baby”, Perrie shared: “It’s weird because the first time it happened, I think because it was so early, I was like, oh, that’s hard. But I think when you’re fully, like carrying in your 24 weeks and you’ve planned out like that room and all these things, it’s really hard.
“And nobody knows other than, like, immediate friends and family. And I remember, like, shortly after, like, friends would message and be like, ‘how’s the bump?’ And I’ll be like, there is no bump.”
