Peter Andre has said that he’s “proud” of daughter Princess

Peter Andre has spoken out about his daughter Princess’ successful reality show, saying that she has “a good team” behind her amid his feud with Katie Price. Princess, 19, made her ITV2 debut this summer when her show, The Princess Diaries, hit our screens.

While the series drew in record numbers, it reignited a feud between parents Peter and Katie, with Katie saying that Peter and Princess’ management didn’t want her in the show. “Everyone knows she’s doing this documentary – and I’m not in it,” Katie said on her podcast in August.

“Certain people don’t think it’s good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me … Princess was like ‘I’m having a party’. And I wasn’t invited because it was for ‘filming.’” She later said that Peter didn’t “want to be in the same room” as her.

Insiders later told The Mirror that Princess had arranged to see Katie the morning of her birthday but that the ex glamour model had failed to appear. “It was all in the diary but then Katie claimed she couldn’t make it as she was abroad. It was disappointing,” they said.

“For Katie to then say she was banned from the afternoon’s filmed party when she was the no-show in the morning is just beyond belief.”

Now, Peter Andre has said that he’s “proud” of Princess for what she’s achieved with her ITV2 show – and praised the team behind her.

Appearing on Lorraine, Peter told host Christine Lampard: “I do feel proud. I’ve always said to her, ‘It’s not about what you do, it’s about who you are.’ She’s a really sweet, kind, loving person and that’s really important because everything can come and go.

“This industry, we know it – it’s very fickle. There are some beautiful parts that you can have from it but also very difficult times so she wants to do this, this is what she wants to do.”

He added: “She has a good team behind her, I really believe she can go all the way. But stay humble, stay focused and don’t think that once you’ve succeeded that’s it. It’s not. You’ve got to keep going.”

Princess is represented by the same management as Peter, with Katie parting ways with the company back in 2012 after the couple’s divorce.
