Sir Rod Stewart didn’t stray too far from his family home in Beverley Hills as he headed out for a rare night on the town with his wife Penny Lancaster and two sons

Sir Rod Stewart cut a smart figure in a rare family snap as he enjoyed an evening out at Soho House in Malibu with his wife Penny Lancaster and their two sons, Alastair and Aiden.

The rocker, who celebrated his 80th birthday at the start of the year, didn’t stray too far from his family home in Beverley Hills as he headed out for a night on the town. Ever the fashion icon, Rod looked smart and stylish in a navy metallic suit over a white shirt with an open collar.

He paired the look with a beaded necklace, chunky rings and some black and white shoes. His wife, Penny, 54, donned a green satin jumpsuit paired with a cream bag and some flat shoes. Their sons, Alastair, 19, and Aiden, 14, copied their dad with open-collared shirts tucked into some tailored trousers.

While loved-up couple Rod and Penny married in 2007, their story began years earlier. The pair first met in 1999, when Penny, a model and TV personality best known for Loose Women , was invited to photograph Rod on tour.

They welcomed their first son, Alastair, on November 27, 2005. Six years later, on February 16, 2011, their second son Aiden arrived, Rod’s eighth child. Two years after Alastair’s birth, the couple sealed their romance with a wedding at La Cervara, near Portofino, Italy.

Rod is also a proud father to Sarah Streeter, 61, Sean, Kimberly, 45, Renee, 32, Liam, 31, and Ruby, 38.

Rod’s outing follows after he was slammed earlier this month for his ‘out of touch’ AI tribute to Ozzy Osbourne after he used an AI‑generated video of Ozzy “in heaven” with deceased music icons during on of his recent concerts.

The video featured a smiling Ozzy holding a selfie stick while posing with AI creations of George Michael, Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Prince, Tina Turner, Bob Marley, Tupac Shakur, Aaliyah, Michael Jackson and XXXTentacion.

One person wrote online: “Good idea: pay tribute to Ozzy and his friends in heaven. Bad idea: making an AI‑generated video with his dead friends/members.” Another added: “Omfg I was there too and was horrified by this. The whole thing felt creepy and unnecessary.”

Fans argued that using such content so soon after Osbourne’s death showed poor judgement, especially given the grief still felt by his loved ones and supporters.

Another fan likened it to Weekend at Bernie’s, adding: “Prince didn’t even want his music on Spotify… I’m 100% sure he wouldn’t have signed off on Rod Stewart puppeteering his face for this tacky…”
