The BBC have given a first look at this year’s Strictly Come Dancing as the show’s professional dancers and judges come together in a dazzling pool party trailer

The first trailer for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing has finally been released. In just a 15 days, the hit BBC dance comeptition will return to screens promising dazzling routines, sparklingly sets and of course glamour.

Strictly has released a 30 second teaser for the 2025 series as the dancers and head judge Shirley Ballas lounge around a pool. It seems the stars are keen to soak up the last bits of summer sun and relaxation as they throw a pool party.

However, it quickly turns into a group number as judges Anton du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse strut their stuff. It also brings the debut of Strictly’s newest professional dancers, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon.

The new stars certainly make a big splash as they dive into the pool at the end of the clip. Alongside the video, the BBC said: “Diving into sparkle season. Watch brand-new #Strictly on # iPlayer from 20 September.”

Strictly stars have already been sharing their excitement as Vito Coppola commented: “We are sooooo Ready #keepdancing.” Kai Widdrington added: “We’re back baby.”

Janette Manrara wrote: “Yes yes yes!!!!” Last year’s finalist Tasha Ghouri also said: “ICONIC!!!” Vicky Pattison, who is appearing on this year’s competition, added: “This is EPIC.”

Strictly Come Dancing : The Launch Show will be aired on September 20 and will reveal who this year’s 15 celebrities will be paired with, as they each come face-to-face with their professional dance partners.

It will also feature a group ensemble dance, where all 15 celebrities and their partners will take to the floor for the first time. There will be a routine from last year’s winners, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, plus an exclusive performance from Jessie J.

Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope will join former England footballer Karen Carney, Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison and Love Island ’s Dani Dyer-Bowen for the new series.

Podcast host and YouTube star George Clarke, former England rugby player Chris Robshaw and Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey are also set to join the 2025 show.

However, it has already been reported dancers Luba Mushtuk and Nancy Xu are not getting a celebrity partner this year. It means they are out of competing on the main show and instead will perform in the group routines.

Last year, reported benched dancer Nancy was partnered with former X Factor winner Shayne Ward, while Luba was with DIY SOS star Nick Knowles.

The current series of Strictly has already got off to a rocky start with Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn quitting the show after just one week into rehearsals. He was swiftly replaced by Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope, who is now hot favourite to win as his secret dance past has been revealed.
