Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas has furiously shut down speculation that she’s had ‘four face lifts’ while also revealing all the procedures she’s had done
Shirley Ballas has revealed the cosmetic procedures she’s had amidst speculation over “four face lifts”. The Strictly Come Dancing head judge has never shied away from discussing her life and procedures and her latest interview is no different.
During an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, the Wirral-born dancer and TV star was questioned about her youthful glow, with show anchor Richard Madeley praising Shirley’s appearance.
Shirley, 65, explained that as people get older, they often face “sun spots” and she has no issues having tweakments. Recently, there had been speculation that the star had undergone several facelifts, but she assured viewers that this wasn’t the case.
“Negin,” she said, adding: “People were saying last week ‘We can see you’ve had about four face lifts,’ for anybody at home, I have not had a facelift!” When asked what procedures she’s had, Shirley revealed: “Negin, which is like a plasma treatment, it heats the collagen, it just keeps the face a little tight and lifted.

“And also gets rid of any spots, like when you get older, you sometimes get little sun spots or whatever – clears it all! Along with the Abashe treatment I use, it keeps the skin clean.” Just last week, Shirley revealed to the Mirror she’d been undergoing treatment and felt 20 years younger.
However, the treatment comes with its downfalls, costing a staggering £4,675 for a course of NeoGen nitrogen plasma treatments, with Dr Johanna Ward on Harley Street. “I haven’t had any surgical facelifts of any kind, at any time. I mean, you can tell I’ve got no stitches or scars,” she told us.
Shirley started her treatments last year ahead of the 2024 series of Strictly in order to look her best while appearing on screens. But since the start of this year, she’s undergone a course of six NeoGen nitrogen plasma treatments. She said: “I never thought at 65 I would feel the way I feel about myself. When I hit 60, I was dreading the inevitable decline of my appearance. I had dark blotches on my skin, my skin looked tired, jowls were starting to fall, and I started to panic, so I started to research all the different treatments that one can do.”

When she looks at herself in the mirror, she sees a “fresh face” and has noticed a “huge difference” thanks to a more defined jawline and no longer sees “all those spots” on her face.
“There’s not a mark on my forehead. And my neck looks so much better. I mean, I think that’s impressive,” she said. Prices for the treatments start at £2,750 for three treatments. Extras include twice daily bespoke Zenii collagen drinks, which can cost an additional £400.
Elsewhere during her Good Morning Britain interview, Shirley addressed the ongoing scandals surrounding Strictly. Susanna Reid asked: “When you are there at the show recording, are you under a sense of responsibility because of the scandal that’s hit Strictly? Do you even consider it?
“Obviously, you’ve got the issue around Thomas Skinner, we’ve got previous scandals – or is it a completely different planet of sequins and sparkles and it just doesn’t touch the sides?”
Shirley quickly responded: “It doesn’t touch the sides. It’s baubles, bangles and beads for me. I stay in my lane. I am there to do a critique from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. Coordination, synchronisation, beautiful personality. I don’t get involved in anything.”
Moving away from the topic, Shirley said: “We do have the best professionals in the world and they are all doing their very, very best when they’re working throughout the week. I’m sure that the final four or three is going to be off the chart.”
