Axed Strictly star Thomas Skinner shared the heartbreaking news that his twins had been rushed to the hospital.

Thomas shares twin daughters, Roma and Darla, two, with his wife, Sinead Chambers. They also have a son, Henry, five.

Last weekend, Thomas and dance partner Amy Dowden were the first couple to be voted off the hit BBC show this year.

However, in a more unfortunate life update, the former Apprentice contestant has shared his concerns for his children’s health…

‘They both had febrile convulsions’

While speaking to The Sun yesterday (October 10), Thomas revealed his daughters “had been poorly with a cold and suddenly their temperature rocketed”.

“They both had febrile convulsions. Roma in the morning and Darla in the evening,” he continued.

“They’re at risk because they were born prematurely weighing just 3lbs. A sudden rise in temperature can bring on fits in infants and they’re more susceptible.”

Thomas said the doctors have tested them as it could be “linked to epilepsy”. He said he and his wife are still waiting for the results, but “hopeful that’s not the case”.

“They’re back home now, happy and playing. They’re getting lots of cuddles. It was incredibly scary,” he added.

Thomas declared this his family “are my world”.

Thomas Skinner’s twins rushed to hospital

In a post shared to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday (October 9), Thomas Skinner wrote: “We are having a proper [bleep] time recently. My twins have spent all night in the hospital.”

“Thank you to the wonderful NHS for looking after them. Back home with them now. They’ve both now had 2 fits each and it is so so scary,” he continued, adding the red heart emoji.

‘There is just nothing we can do’

“So sorry to hear that your beautiful girls have been unwell. I’m glad that the NHS were able to make them well enough to return home. Sending you all hugs xx,” one user wrote.

“Praying their both alright mate, scary time, glad your all back safe home now though, that’s the important thing,” another person shared.

“So sorry to hear that Tom. Sending love to you and the family. Look after yourself,” a third remarked.

“Ahh mate that’s awful! So glad they are okay, but you’re right that is proper scary. It’s horrible being so helpless as a parent too when your kids aren’t well, there is just nothing we can do and that’s hard,” a fourth said.

“This is awful, a parent’s nightmare. Praying for your children’s speedy and full recovery. Children are tougher than we think, but it doesn’t relieve the worry,” a fifth user expressed.
