Victoria Beckham has been wishing son Romeo a happy birthday but there was a noticeable absentee from her message as she said ‘we love you’ to the 23 year old

Victoria Beckham once again laid bare the fracture in her once close-knit family in a telling post to mark son Romeo’s 23rd birthday. While the Beckhams continued to pay their respects to the footballer on social media, there was still one evident snub as Brooklyn stayed quiet.

However, Victoria certainly wasn’t about to let that ruin her party mood and shared a sweet video of the rest of the clan celebrating the special day. In a clip shared on her Instagram Stories, youngest son Cruz can be seen carrying a cake with lit candles while the group sing happy birthday.

And in a telling move, Victoria captioned the video: “Happy birthday Romeo!!! We love you so much!!!” She went on to tag Romeo, Cruz and husband David in the upload.

The singer followed it up with a snap of her son beaming behind the giant candles. Over the years, Victoria has still tagged Brooklyn in posts from family gatherings if he was unable to attend – often writing something like ‘missed you’ as made sure to include all her kids in any posts.

And she continued to share further photos from a family getaway. At the same time, Brooklyn was taking to his wife, Nicola Peltz’s post, to gush over her appearance.

There has been an undeniable rift between the aspiring chef and his famous parents and siblings since issues first arose in public as dad David turned 50. At the time, Brooklyn was nowhere to be seen in the family get togethers and tongues quickly began wagging.

It led to fans questioning whether the seemingly close-knit family had been divided. Ever since, Brooklyn has continued to snub his family, focusing more on his life stateside with the Peltzes.

A source told Metro about their current situation: “Brooklyn has been on the receiving end of public trolling from both of his brothers, and just a few months ago, they even blocked him and Nicola. So, it’s unrealistic to expect him to extend an olive branch.”

Despite the feud, the other members of the Beckham clan were on hand to celebrate Romeo’s birthday. Sir David’s mother, Sandra, who wrote in a post: “Happy birthday to my special grandson @romeobeckham so proud of you, love you lots xxx”.

And the former England captain shared his own sweet message. He said: “Happy 23rd Birthday to my little boy … you are kind , humble , polite , hard working and the most special person to everyone we love you so much x have the most special day HAPPY BIRTHDAY big boy @romeobeckham”

Becks added a number of throwback snaps on the upload, just as Victoria had also. And Cruz opted for a trip down memory lane too as he tried to embarrass his older brother.

He posted a picture of Romeo holding a Justin Bieber phone case, a seemingly prophetic choice given how the model now sports a similar look to JB with his buzz cut and tattoos, as fans have noted. “Love u man”, Cruz penned on his upload.

Romeo also shared a number of other birthday well wishes from his pals as he popped them on his own Stories.
