The Grand Ole Opry is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a star-studded event featuring artists like Ashley McBryde, Post Malone, Reba McEntire, and Carrie Underwood, who has been a member since March 15, 2008. Carrie was surprised on stage by Randy Travis, who invited her to join the Opry, making her emotional.
At the Opry 100 celebration, Carrie honored Randy Travis by performing two of his iconic songs, “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Forever and Ever, Amen.”
The tribute moved many in the audience, including Randy’s wife, Mary Davis, to tears. Randy, who suffered a stroke years ago, sang the final “Amen,” and the performance earned a standing ovation from the crowd.
