The View’s Sara Haines breaks silence on Amy Robach friendship after star’s scandal with TJ Holmes and GMA3 firing

SARA Haines has opened up about whether or not she is still friends with GMA3’s Amy Robach.

Amy was fired from the morning show for being in involved in an affair with her co-star, TJ Holmes.

On Thursday, Sara, 46, conducted a Q&A session on her Instagram Stories.

She put up a question box with the words: “Let’s chat. Ask me anything!”

Fans asked her a range of questions, but one was brave enough to tackle the Amy/TJ situation.

They asked: “Are you still friends with Amy Robach?”

“Abso-friggin-lutely!!!” was Sara’s response.

She added a heart emoji and a smiling face with hearts emoji.

Sara did not expand on their friendship anymore.

She was, however, a correspondent on GMA from 2013 to 2019, so her path with Amy crossed a lot.

‘I HAVE THOUGHTS’

In January, Sara shared her real feelings about Amy and TJ’s affair on The View.

The View panel talked about infidelity when Joy Behar brought up the ex-GMA hosts.

“Is there never a situation of this– I’ll get in trouble, but whatever,” Joy said.

“Like, you’re married, you’re not happily married, the sex is like [yawning]. Both sides are bored with the whole thing or you’re fighting a lot, but there are children involved.”

She went on: “Now you meet somebody at the office, and you have a fling.”

“I have thoughts,” Sara spoke up.

“If you can live with yourself for that, and it’s a one-time fling or something like that, I’m sure there are ways you can get around.

Sara continued: “But the most important thing is if you start to fall in love with people and you change how you are at home.

“The example you set (becomes) your kids understanding of how to love someone.”

TJ, 46, has three children and Amy has two, both from previous relationships.

GOOD MEMORIES

In September, Amy, 50, and her family proved that they are still on good terms with Sara.

Amy’s daughter, Ava, shared a throwback picture with The View co-host on her Instagram Story.

In the photo, Sara knelt between Ava and her younger sister, Annalise.

Both girls appeared to be in flower girl dresses with blue satin ribbons around their waist.

Sara hugged Amy’s girls tight as they all smiled for the camera.

“Happy Birthday, Sara,” Ava captioned the photo.

She added three red heart emojis and tagged Sara’s Instagram account.

Sara reposted the photo and tagged them, writing: “[Oh my God]. My baby girls! Love you Ava and Annalise.”
